Job Title: Snowflake and Databricks Developer

We're looking to hire a highly skilled Snowflake & Databricks professional with proven track record of data migration and optimization within Snowflake and Databricks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions using Azure Databricks within Azure Cloud environments.
• Minimum 4+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling principles.
• Proficiency in Snowflake features:
  • Functions and utilities
  • Staging and file upload
  • Time Travel and Fail-safe
  • Stored procedures, tasks, Snowpipe, and SnowSQL.
• Proficiency in Databricks:
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Databricks
  • Implement and manage Delta Lake for reliable ACID-compliant data storage
  • Unity Catalog for governance, security, and metadata management
  • Performance tuning, Caching, and Optimization
• Configure and manage workflow orchestration using Databricks Job Scheduler, including task dependencies and data processing schedules.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture and expertise in extracting data from diverse sources (flat files, XML/JSON, RDBMS, etc.).
• Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
• Configure and replicate Azure Databricks components (workspaces, clusters, storage) and migrate workloads from Hadoop.
• Expertise in data engineering components:
  • Data Pipelines
  • Data Orchestration
  • Data Quality
  • Data Governance
  • Analytics.
• Hands-on experience implementing large-scale data intelligence solutions using Snowflake DW and Databricks.
• Working knowledge of streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Experience handling semi-structured and unstructured data formats.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Snowflake and Databricks Developer, with a strong track record of delivering data solutions.
• Hands-on expertise in data architecture, including complex data modelling and data governance practices.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with demonstrated experience in ETL development and automation.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts, with ability to write and optimize complex queries.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data workflows and systems.
• Strong expertise in PySpark, Azure Databricks, and Delta Lake for building scalable data solutions.

Education:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject is required.
