The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle HCM Compensation Manager professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical expertise in the Oracle HCM Cloud platform, with a specific focus on the Compensation module. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management of compensation systems, from strategic design and implementation to ongoing support and enhancement. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to stakeholders and ensuring our systems align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
- System Configuration and Implementation: Lead and participate in the design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud Compensation modules. This includes setting up compensation plans, salary structures, bonus plans, benefits programs, eligibility rules, and other related functionalities.
- Business Analysis and Solution Design: Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business leaders to gather and analyze compensation requirements. Translate business needs into effective and efficient system solutions, and perform fit/gap analysis to identify and address system limitations.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing functional and technical support for the Oracle HCM Compensation modules. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, manage system updates and patches, and ensure data integrity and system performance.
- Project Management and Leadership: Lead project workstreams related to compensation and benefits initiatives, including system upgrades, new module implementations, and process improvements. Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain custom reports and analytics using Oracle's reporting tools (e.g., OTBI, BI Publisher) to provide insights into compensation and benefits data, ensuring compliance and supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Stay current with Oracle HCM updates, industry trends, and statutory regulations related to compensation and benefits. Ensure system configurations and processes are compliant and follow best practices.
Skills and attributes for success
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in a similar role, with at least 3-4 full-cycle Oracle HCM Cloud implementations focused on Compensation.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud Compensation modules: Workforce Compensation, Individual Compensation, and Total Compensation Statements.
- Proficiency in Oracle's technical tools: HCM Data Loader (HDL), Fast Formulas, and BI Publisher/OTBI for reporting.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
