Level: Associate DirectorRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Associate Director – Life Sciences Delivery Lead to lead and scale digital engineering engagements for global Life Sciences clients. This role is responsible for delivering complex transformation programs, growing strategic accounts, driving engineering excellence, and building high-performing teams.The ideal candidate will combine deep Life Sciences domain knowledge with strong digital engineering leadership, enabling the successful delivery of modern product engineering, cloud, data, AI, and platform transformation initiatives. The role requires executive stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead distributed global teams while ensuring delivery excellence and business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership & Account GrowthServe as a trusted advisor to client executives, business sponsors, and technology leaders.Build and strengthen executive relationships across existing and new client accounts.Identify and drive account growth opportunities through cross-selling and upselling of Digital Engineering services.Support proposals, solutioning, deal shaping, estimations, and client presentations.Contribute to annual revenue growth, pipeline development, and strategic account planning.Delivery & Program LeadershipOwn a portfolio of Life Sciences engagements with accountability for delivery excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.Lead large-scale digital transformation programs covering product engineering, platform modernization, cloud transformation, AI, data, automation, and integration initiatives.Establish robust governance frameworks, delivery metrics, risk management processes, and executive reporting mechanisms.Drive predictable delivery across scope, quality, schedule, budget, and business outcomes.Ensure compliance with Life Sciences regulatory and quality requirements where applicable.Digital Engineering LeadershipDrive adoption of modern engineering practices including:AI-assisted software engineeringProduct-centric delivery modelsCloud-native architecturePlatform engineeringDevSecOpsQuality EngineeringIntelligent Automation and GenAIChampion engineering productivity through reusable assets, accelerators, automation, and AI-enabled delivery methods.Partner with architects and engineering leaders to define technology roadmaps and transformation strategies.Life Sciences Domain LeadershipProvide strategic direction across:Clinical DevelopmentRegulatory AffairsQuality & ComplianceMedical AffairsPharmacovigilanceCommercial OperationsResearch & DevelopmentManufacturing and Supply ChainGuide clients on digital transformation opportunities within regulated and highly compliant environments.Stay current on industry trends, technology innovations, and emerging Life Sciences platforms.People Leadership & Capability BuildingLead and mentor Delivery Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, and Delivery Leads.Build high-performing teams and succession pipelines.Drive hiring, talent development, performance coaching, and workforce planning.Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Contribute to Life Sciences Digital Engineering capability development, thought leadership, and market positioning.Operational & Financial ManagementOwn engagement profitability, revenue realization, utilization, and delivery KPIs.Drive forecasting, resource planning, capacity management, and financial governance.Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate delivery risks.Ensure effective management of vendors, partners, and extended delivery organizations.Required QualificationsExperience15–18 years of overall IT and Digital Transformation experience.Minimum 8 years in delivery leadership roles managing large-scale engineering programs.Minimum 5 years supporting Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, MedTech, or Healthcare clients.Proven experience managing global delivery teams exceeding 100+ resources across multiple workstreams.Demonstrated experience owning multimillion-dollar technology engagements.Life Sciences ExpertiseStrong understanding of one or more of:Clinical Trials and Clinical OperationsRegulatory AffairsPharmacovigilanceQuality Management SystemsMedical AffairsCommercial OperationsManufacturing and Supply ChainPatient Services and EngagementTechnology & Engineering ExpertiseExperience leading initiatives involving:Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Modern application developmentAPI and integration ecosystemsData and AI platformsDigital product engineeringPlatform modernizationDevSecOps and Quality EngineeringAgile and Product Delivery ModelsKey Success MeasuresRevenue growth and account expansion.Customer satisfaction and stakeholder trust.Delivery predictability, quality, and operational excellence.Engagement profitability and resource utilization.AI and digital engineering adoption across client portfolios.Talent retention, leadership development, and capability growth.Contribution to Life Sciences practice development and market positioning.Ideal Candidate ProfileA highly credible delivery leader with strong Life Sciences industry expertise, proven experience managing strategic client relationships, and a track record of successfully delivering complex Digital Engineering transformations at scale.
