Job Description: Senior Technology Consultant – Capital Markets (Calypso Specialist)
Job Purpose:
- Need to work as a Senior Technology Consultant in the capacity of Capital Market – Calypso Implementation Specialist in Capital Market core modernisation and migration projects.
- Should exhibit deep experience in financial services during the client discussions and be able to convince the client on the solution.
Work Experience Requirements
Functional Experience
- 4 to 8 years of hands on experience in Capital Markets with strong exposure to Front to Back trade lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of:
- Securities trading, settlements, confirmations, reconciliation, and clearing.
- Middle office processes including trade validation, enrichment, allocation, and reporting.
- Regulatory reporting and compliance across capital markets.
- Prior exposure to Calypso Implementation, version upgrade, or cross platform migration programs in Capital Markets.
Technical Experience
- Strong implementation experience in Calypso, particularly Version 14+ (preferred), across:
- System configuration in trading, static data, settlement, and middle office modules.
- Workflow design and exception handling.
- Integration with upstream and downstream systems.
- Hands on experience with:
- Trade processing engines
- Static and reference data frameworks
- Interfaces, messaging standards (ISO15022/20022, FIX), and APIs
- Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to functional & technical design workshops.

- Archiving concepts and strategy
- Ability to write Java programming
- Ability to write and analyse SQL queries.
- Good understanding of system integration, APIs (SOAP/REST), and JMS messaging.
- Ability to interpret technical logs, troubleshoot issues, and guide development teams.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments:
- Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Listed & OTC Derivatives, Repos, and Structured Products.
- Treasury and liquidity processes
- Experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis (OOTB vs. custom), and functional documentation.
- Exposure to Agile delivery models (Scrum/Kanban).
- Knowledge of databases, infrastructure, application servers, Technical Architecture, Security and Performance management.
- Experience in Cloud and CI/CD (Devops Automation environment)
Education and Experience
- MBA / MCA / BE / BTech or equivalent degree.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets, preferably within banking, investment banking, or financial technology domains.
