Solution Architect – JD - Oil and Gas

Role Overview

Design and oversee the delivery of technology solutions tailored for Oil & Gas clients. This role seeks a candidate with 12+ years’ experience in IT solution architecture, including substantial exposure to O&G industry projects.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Develop technical designs for new or enhancement of existing Oil & Gas solutions
• Align solutions to enterprise architecture standards and O&G best practices.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and integration challenges unique to O&G industry
• Incorporate emerging technologies and scale solutions, extending to AI/ML applications.
• Ensure architecture accommodates multiple vendor solutions for interoperability and flexibility.

Solution Delivery & Implementation

• Lead cross-functional teams through delivery of custom O&G solutions.
• Provide hands-on guidance and technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Engage with vendors and partners to ensure solution alignment with standards and minimum technical debt.
• Oversee robust solution-level testing and validation for achievement of business outcomes.

Performance & Optimization

• Monitor deployed O&G solutions for performance, stability, and utilization.
• Identify and drive opportunities for optimization, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Recommend and oversee enhancements to ensure cost-effective and efficient solution operations.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years’ experience in technology solution architecture, including major Oil & Gas projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture and delivery for large-scale O&G digital transformation efforts.
• Deep understanding of O&G business and project environments (upstream, midstream, downstream).
• Excellent collaboration, client management, and communication skills.
• Advanced expertise in architecture frameworks, technical risk management, and O&G systems (e.g., OSDU, predictive maintenance, IoT/SCADA).

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with O&G platforms, asset management, and digital oilfield solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting acumen.
• Proven track record executing solution architecture for O&G companies.
