The Opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit Senior Auditors with experience in the Financial Services Industry, to join our FSI Assurance Group in Nicosia. Our Audit practice is one of the most trusted, respected and influential organization in the industry. As part of our team, you will be using your skills and experience in order to give companies, investors and regulators confidence in the validity of financial statements and provide meaningful insights into both accounting and reporting matters and business-critical information or processes.

 

Our clients include entities engaged in banking and capital markets, insurance and wealth & asset management activities. You will work alongside senior members of both EY and the client’s management team in planning the audit process from beginning to end, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and fair presentation of our client’s information.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

As an Audit Senior, you will work on various Audit engagements in Financial Services in which EY is acknowledged as a market leader. You will become a credible Auditor, influencing clients and engagement teams on resolutions that will impact entire sectors by:

  • Leading day-to-day fieldwork and keeping engagement executives updated on Audit engagements

  • Effectively completing Audit processes with appropriate consideration of Audit risk issues and accounting technical matters

  • Embracing technology for a more efficient and effective Audit approach

  • Constantly developing your understanding of current market and industry trends and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleagues by providing on the job training on Audit skills and industry matters

  • Understanding our clients’ unique ambitions and needs and demonstrating a dedication to continually improve our services and broaden our business relationships where possible

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry

  • Ability to multitask between projects and highly perform in a challenging work environment

 

 

To qualify for this role you must have:

  • ACA/ACCA/CA qualification

  • A strong Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field

  • 3-6 years of relevant Audit working experience with a proven track record of outstanding performance and Financial Services knowledge

  • Fluency in spoken and written Greek and English is essential

  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

 

Ideally you'll also have:

  • Prior working experience in one of the big audit or mid-tier firms

  • Experience in Audits or other Assurance work for Financial Institutions/Financial services entities
