React Native Developer

• Design, develop, and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native that are performant, scalable, and maintainable. 

• Build reusable components and modules using modern JavaScript/TypeScript aligned with EY and industry coding standards. 

• Integrate mobile applications with backend services through RESTful APIs, and where applicable GraphQL. 

• Implement authentication & authorization flows (OAuth2, JWT, SSO, CIAM) following secure coding guidelines. 

• Implement real‑time features using WebSockets, SSE, Pub/Sub, or equivalent technologies. 

• Implement push notifications and in-app messaging patterns. 

• Participate in developing mobile CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, App Center, etc.). 

• Utilize AI coding agents and vibe‑coding workflows responsibly to accelerate development, documentation, testing, and refactoring. 

• Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA, and backend teams across distributed delivery environments. 

• Participate in code reviews, enforce quality standards, and contribute to architectural discussions. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.  

• 3–6 years of experience in professional software development, with at least 3 years focused on React Native for iOS and Android applications. 

• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. 

• Deep understanding of React Native internals, navigation frameworks, state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or Context API). 

• Experience integrating apps with backend services using REST and/or GraphQL, including handling authentication tokens and secure local storage. 

• Experience implementing cloud‑native mobile app features, such as: 

• Serverless functions 

• CDN-based content delivery 

• Cloud‑based authentication providers 

• Hands‑on experience with push notifications and mobile background tasks. 

• Experience building real‑time mobile features (WebSockets, Socket.io, SSE). 

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD workflows, such as automated build and deployment, app signing, and distribution. 

• Ability to responsibly use AI-assisted development tools with strong critical evaluation of outputs. 

• Strong debugging skills for mobile platforms (Flipper, device logs, performance profiling tools). 

• Must be based in Cyprus, or willing to relocate, and follow a hybrid work model (3 days per week onsite). 

Skills and attributes for success 

• Ability to reason about cloud-native architectures, mobile API contracts, caching, and offline-first strategies. 

• High degree of autonomy and ownership in delivering mobile features in enterprise environments. 

• Ability to interpret and validate AI-generated suggestions, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and security. 

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. 

• Excellent communication and ability to mentor junior developers or contribute to team-level engineering decisions. 

• Strong mobile performance optimization skills across platforms and devices. 

Ideally you should also have 

• Experience with platform-native development (Swift/Objective‑C, Kotlin/Java) for module bridging. 

• Experience in multi-platform deployment strategies. 

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools. 

• Experience or exposure to designing mobile application architectures (feature modules, clean architecture, micro-frontends for mobile). 

• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered mobile experiences (personalization, embeddings, chatbot integrations). 

• Experience in enterprise security practices, mobile compliance, or regulated‑industry app development.
