To achieve this, we are seeking a Junior React Front-end Developer to join our Technology Transformation Consulting practice. Our team is part of EY’s Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) cluster, delivering market leading services to organizations across industries in Cyprus and internationally.

Your Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Develop user‑facing features using React.js under guidance from senior developers. 

  • Translate UI/UX wireframes into clean, maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 

  • Integrate RESTful APIs and assist with handling JSON/XML data. 

  • Participate in debugging, testing, and performance optimization activities. 

  • Follow established ways of working (Git, code reviews, Agile ceremonies).  

  • Write reusable components and contribute to UI improvements.  

  • Maintain documentation for components, features, and updates. 

 

Required Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field. 

  • 1–3 years of experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. 

  • Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs and handling web data formats. 

  • Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows.  

  • Understanding of responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility. 

  • Must be based in Cyprus, and follow a hybrid work model (3 days per week onsite). 

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

  • Strong willingness to learn modern front‑end practices and tooling.  

  • Good communication and problem‑solving abilities.  

  • Ability to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams. 

  • Ability to use AI Agents (e.g. GitHub Copilot) to augment development with critical oversight and verification. 

  • Familiarity with vibe‑based coding workflows (AI-assisted rapid prototyping, inline suggestions, code refactoring prompts) while maintaining responsibility for correctness, security, and performance. 

 

Ideally you should also have 

 

  • Familiarity with UI libraries such as Material UI. 

  • Basic testing experience (Jest, React Testing Library). 

  • Awareness of accessibility and performance best practices.
