The opportunity 

 

The EY Parthenon team, part of EY Cyprus, is looking to recruit a Junior/Senior Financial Due Diligence Consultant to work with a high-performing, integrated team which focuses on transactions, providing advice in challenging and interesting projects. We are offering the opportunity to gain a diverse range of experiences and develop a great sense of achievement. 

This role is for our Transaction Diligence Team that is responsible to assist businesses meet specific challenges, by identifying the key financial drivers of revenue and profitability, identifying value adjustments, improving deal structures, mitigating risks and questioning assumptions on future performance. Through this due diligence process, we improve our clients negotiating position and accelerate smooth transactions with minimal disruption.

Your key Responsibilities  

 

  • Help clients achieve their strategic goals, whether they are acquiring or divesting assets. 

  • Advise clients during the due diligence process to identify key value drivers and challenge assumptions about future performance 

  • Work with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated service to our clients. 

  • Likely to also work on a number of cross border assignments working with other EY offices around the world 

 

Skills and attributes for success 

  

  • Prepare analyses of historical and pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation 

  • Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties 

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel 

 

To qualify for the role, you should have 

 

  • Commercial awareness and experience in conducting financial due diligence 

  • Understanding of the components of EBITDA, working capital and net debt and be able to apply your due diligence findings on them.  

  • Demonstrate ability to effectively evaluate a company's financial and operational performance, and to identify associated transaction risks, issues and red flags. 

  • Have or working towards an ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification or relevant University degree 

  • Be an excellent communicator, both oral and written  

  • Have a proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) to manage and analyse data effectively 

  • Be an effective time manager, able to keep calm when under pressure to meet deadlines  

  • Be a team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
