The Strategy and Transactions (SaT) team guides clients to make better, more informed decisions as they buy, sell, separate, integrate, reshape, restructure, or rethink their business strategy. We help our clients by providing advice on all aspects of transactions, from inception to execution and completion. 

Being one of the fastest growing and reputable teams in Cyprus, they remain at the forefront of all major transactions in the island, covering numerous market sectors. Strategy and Transactions offers a wide variety of services. The key competencies include, among others, the below:

All the participants, based on their performance, will have the opportunity to be offered an internship and/or a permanent role at EY Cyprus. 

Here is the process 

You can show your interest in the competition by submitting your CV and completing the application. 

For those that will be selected here are the next stages: 

Stage 1: Local Competition 

• Complete online video interview 

• Online interview with the SaT and Talent teams 

• Participate at EY's brand new premises for a physical all-day event, to work on a business case provided by us and present it on a panel of expert judges 

Stage 2: Regional Preparation and Competition 

The winner will be coached to represent EY Cyprus on a regional competition that will take place in July. 

Stage 3: Global Preparation and Competition 

The regional competition winner will represent the whole EY region (CESA) to the final stage in one of the countries where EY operates. 

Who can apply 

• All undergraduate (3rd year and above students) with Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Management, Statistics or relevant studies 

• All post-graduate students with Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Management, Statistics or relevant studies, with no professional working experience 

• Strong interest and motivation for financial advisory, transactions and/or strategy field 

What we look for 

• Excellent written and verbal skills both in Greek and English 

• Passion for SaT services 

• Fluency in the use of MS packages, in particular Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint 

• Agile, growth-oriented mindset 

• Curious and purpose driven 

• Analytical thinking, global outlook, innovation focused 

• Results oriented, with good communication, adaptability and time management skills, with empathy and team spirit
