DevOps Engineer

The opportunity  

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure and Hybrid Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or related roles within technology-driven environments, with a proven track record of delivering secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions through automation and modern DevOps practices.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end implementation of Azure and Hybrid Cloud infrastructure solutions, from planning and architecture through deployment, migration, and operational support. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and governance of cloud environments while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver complex technology transformation initiatives on time and within scope.

Your key responsibilities of the role:

• Implement and automate Azure infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) to enable rapid and consistent deployment of cloud resources.
• Configure, administer, maintain, and support Azure and Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Develop, test, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and other DevOps toolsets.
• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, governance frameworks, security baselines, and operational best practices.
• Design, implement, and deploy cloud solutions and infrastructure pipelines using DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Support the migration and modernization of applications and workloads to Azure and Hybrid Cloud platforms.
• Develop and implement monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure operational reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with technical and security teams to implement cloud security controls and compliance requirements.
• Evaluate current infrastructure and cloud platforms and provide recommendations to improve automation, operational efficiency, and self-service capabilities.
• Engage with client IT teams in workshops to support the adoption of Cloud, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices and tooling.
• Continuously explore, evaluate, and integrate emerging cloud, AI, and automation technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Support managed cloud operations and service delivery activities throughout the lifecycle of cloud solutions.

To qualify for the role, you must demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Between 4 to 6 years hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including networking, compute, storage, monitoring, identity, and security services.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience designing and implementing Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Azure Landing Zones, cloud governance, and security best practices.
• Understanding of Hybrid Cloud architectures and cloud migration approaches.
• Understanding of, or experience in, Agile Development environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills in English and Greek (Greek not mandatory).
• Ability to work in both collaborative and independent work environments.
• Proven ability to work within Cloud Engineering and DevOps delivery teams on complex transformation projects.

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Good technical knowledge of Azure-native services, cloud networking, identity management, and cloud security architectures.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud-native application architectures.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring and observability solutions such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Experience building and maintaining cloud security controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes.
• Understanding and experience in the fields of DevSecOps, AI, MLOps, or cloud automation.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or AZ-500 are considered a plus.
