From day one, you’ll combine real client work with structured development, building both your consulting mindset and core business skills. You’ll have the option to pursue a professional certification, while learning through hands‑on experience across transformation projects. 

Our approach combines work and structured learning, including classroom sessions, online training and self‑study. Balancing study with project work can be challenging, but you’ll be supported throughout. You’ll learn alongside your cohort, building strong relationships, while experienced teams guide you at every step. 

2. EY Business and Customer Transformation Consulting - Programme overview 

Help organisations navigate disruption and transform their businesses. 

As part of Business and Customer Transformation Consulting, you’ll work on projects that tackle complex challenges across growth, customer experience and business operations. You’ll support clients as they reshape how they work, from redesigning business and operating models and improving performance, to defining their transformation roadmap, to responding to market pressures and regulatory change. 

You’ll be part of teams delivering transformation in practice, combining business thinking with technology, data and AI to create long-term value. Working closely with colleagues across Technology Consulting and other teams, you’ll gain exposure to how large-scale transformation programmes are designed and delivered end to end.

What you’ll do 

• Deliver business transformation projects, working with clients across different industries 

• Apply data, AI and digital technologies to solve real client challenges and improve business performance 

• Break down complex problems into clear business issues and develop practical solutions 

• Analyse market and business data to identify trends, risks and opportunities 

• Support the development of business cases and proposals and contribute to the preparation of client deliverables including reports and presentations 

• Take ownership of workstreams within projects, working closely with your team and engaging with clients across different environments 

• You’ll be working across a portfolio of clients assigned to you. This will involve a mixture of hybrid working – travelling to client offices, working in the EY office and from home. It will vary by client/project and will depend on the requirements of both the client and project team. 

3. What we’re looking for 

We’re looking for people who are curious, driven, and ready to learn fast in a consulting environment: 

• A degree or equivalent experience in any field, with an interest in business, technology or transformation 

• 0–2 years of experience through internships, projects, or entry level roles (helpful, but not essential) 

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

• A collaborative mindset, with an interest in working across teams, projects and industries 

• A proactive attitude towards learning, continuous improvement, and building a consulting career
