The opportunity:

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to train for a Professional Qualification (ACCA / ACA / CFA) in our Nicosia office, in Direct tax sub-service line.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Working with the team on a broad range of interesting clients, dealing directly with clients on a day-to-day basis to manage direct tax compliance under the supervision of more senior team members.
• Reviewing the tax position of the Companies based on the provisions of the Income Tax Law.
• Assisting with the completion and submission of various Tax Forms / Returns.
• Building and maintaining relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations.
• Contributing to the department’s goals in providing exceptional service to both local and international clients working alongside senior members of the team on a broad range of challenging client assignments.
• Keeping up to date with current developments in the field of tax and apply knowledge to relevant client cases.

Skills and attributes for success:

• A high standard of spoken and written Greek and English is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong team working skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to high quality results and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (minimum 2:1, 7.5/10) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
• Fluency in Greek and English written and spoken.
• IT skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).
