Global Tax Center of Excellence (Global Tax CoE) is a dedicated global team focused on delivering exceptional client service across borders. We provide specialist tax, business and technology expertise to address clients’ most pressing challenges in an exciting, dynamic tax and business environment, through a broad range of innovative service offerings.  

 

The Tax Technology and Data Operations (TDO) team are part of the Global Tax Center of Excellence organisation working with the firms most challenging, complex, multi-juridiction clients. The TDO team are a group of specialists who bring many years of technology and data operations /data management experience who focus and support across the engagement lifecycle from:

 

  • driving market success by adopting and championing new technologies, tools, solutions and ways of working, working directly with clients and account teams
  • developing design and architecture of technology and data solutions, ensuring alignment with global standards and tailoring them to client and EY delivery environments
  • manage client accounts end-to-end, from implementation through service delivery, ensuring successful deployment of agreed solutions and overseeing ongoing operations to meet performance and quality standards
  • Contribute to the evolution of firm-wide tools, technologies, and processes by applying deep business insights, technical expertise, and market experience gained through direct client engagements

Due to increasing demand in the market the TDO team are looking to expand through the recruitment of Technology and DataSpecialists to lead across the above primary area of responsibilities, and the following provides further detail in relation to the opportunities, role details, requirements and experience to be gained from being a part of the Global Tax CoE TDO central team.

 

You will take on a variety of tasks:

 

  • Responsible for TDO activities across the full engagement lifecycle (i.e. identification and pursuit through to transition and into BAU Operations including proposal writing, pitches to client, managing resources, defining and driving processes to deliver services, leading daily operations on client projects
  • Work with a broad network of account, tax technical, financial and tax compliance teams representing TDO team
  • Support the continuing evolution and implementation of new technologies and standards to transform service delivery
  • Deployment and positioning of the market leading technologies and solutions internally and directly to clients

 

To qualify for the role, you must have:

 

  • Strong client relationship management skills with ability to develop high quality outputs to clients and ability to navigate complex situations 
  • Experience and understanding technology deployment models (e.g. requirements, design, implementation etc.) and data management/operations
  • Experience in delivering complex client projects involving technology, transformation and data operations
  • Experience of working in and managing virtual team across multiple locations who have varied skillsets
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a client facing environment dealing with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective time management, ability to remain collected when under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think out of the box to solve business and operational challenges through a lens of technology, data and automation
  • Be an effective collaborator who can manage and work with a broad group of stakeholders
  • Communicate technical and or complex messages in simple terms 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Degree level qualification in accounting and/or tax or proven work record in a professional services environment
  • Knowledge in data automation, transformation, cloud computing, compliance technologies
  • Experience or an understanding in core ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle
  • Business development skills, ability to present and pitch ideas and technology internally and externally
