The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Associate who will play a key role in supporting the Financial Reporting Matters team on internal and external financial reporting, controlling and acquisition integration related activities. This involves producing work for senior stakeholders and collaborating widely across different functional teams. The role offers the opportunity to help shape the approach and implementation of best practice across many processes that will help drive efficiencies and operational excellence across Finance.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage the analysis, reporting and control of Other Charges, collaborating closely with Partner Finance and other finance teams to ensure robust and accurate reporting for senior business stakeholders.
- Support financial governance activities for trading subsidiary Boards including reporting and analysis, forecast and planning and investment appraisal analysis.
- Manage the Balance Sheet governance process for specific UK trading subsidiaries ensuring that controls such as regular reconciliations are in place and entries are understood by the relevant owners.
- Support the trading subsidiary statutory audit activities for UK legal entities, working closely with other finance functions and external auditors to deliver an efficient and robust audit process.
- Support the financial integration of new businesses acquired including co-ordination of activities and interim management of certain acquired business processes during transition period.
- Working closely with the Global community to identify and leverage best practices.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the FRM team, specifically developing a good working knowledge of all other areas of responsibility in the team to provide support and drive continuous process improvement.

- Ability to leverage best practice and learnings from regional and global to drive operational excellence across Finance.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Qualified accountant, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, or actively studying towards such a qualification.
- A strong track record of financial management, analysis and control, ideally in a professional services firm.
- At least 2-5 years of equivalent work experience.
- Strong people skills – can work alongside and gain the trust and respect of a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Client focused, enthusiastic and responsive.
- Strong process improvement mindset.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- SAP experience, but training can be provided.
- Financial services experience/expertise.
- Strong academic record.
