CSD Conduct Risk Executive

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

Market-leading growth in our Consulting Service Delivery team has created opportunities for new people to join the team, working in our Newcastle Service Delivery Centre. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in helping financial service clients to meet their regulatory obligations.

The Opportunity

The Consulting Service Delivery team is one of EY’s fastest growth areas. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conduct Risk specialist to join our Newcastle team.

In this role, you will be applying your experience and specialist knowledge to help clients meet their regulatory obligations around a variety of Conduct matters, for example, suitability reviews, outcome testing, complaint handling and regulatory mapping. Continuing expansion means we are looking for people who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of different teams.

The role will be based in our Newcastle office, in our Consulting Delivery Centre. We support flexible/hybrid working but there will be a requirement for you to spend time in the Newcastle office on a weekly basis, so we are looking for people who are commutable to Newcastle or are looking to relocate to the North- East.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Conduct Risk Executive in our Consulting Service Delivery team, you will be working with global EY teams to deliver high quality work to our clients, who will primarily be from the financial sector. You will help our clients gain comfort by using your technical knowledge of compliance matters. You will work with the leadership team to speak directly with clients to provide them with advice and recommendations. You will be supporting management to lead teams working on Conduct Risk engagements.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Creative, independent with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Relevant regulatory experience relating to financial services regulation compliance and/or enforcement. This may be from working with a regulator, a financial services organisation, or a dynamic new market entrant
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional key regulations/handbooks
  • Direct experience of Financial Services, either in a tier one consulting organisation or large financial services organisation
  • Leadership, project management and teamwork skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience of coaching or mentoring junior team members
  •  Obtained or be working towards A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Insurance Institute DipPFS (R01-R06); LIBF; DipPFA or CISI equivalent, CEMAP, Certificate in Mortgage Advice)

What We Look For
You’ll be a trusted business advisor to our clients, specialising within the Conduct Risk sector, so they’ll look to you to find, ask and answer the questions nobody else has asked yet and then develop and execute an effective service. If you’re ready to take on a wide range of responsibilities and are committed to seeking out new ways to make a difference, this role is for you.

What we offer
We offer a competitive remuneration package where you’ll be rewarded for your individual and team performance. Our comprehensive Total Rewards package includes support for flexible working and career development, and with FlexEY you can select benefits that suit your needs, covering holidays, health and well-being, insurance, savings and a wide range of discounts, offers and promotions.
