The opportunity
The objective of our consulting risk services is to provide clients with a candid and reliable overview of their risk landscape. At EY, we are committed to building a better working world. Your key responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Consultant with 5-10 years of experience in the Power & Utilities industry or consulting within the sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance, a deep understanding of operational processes, and the ability to lead risk and controls project teams. Candidates must have experience implementing or using ERP tools like SAP, Oracle, Maximo, etc. You will operate as a fieldwork leader to assist clients in employing proper information systems, resources, and controls to maximize efficiencies and minimize risk. You can expect to work with client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and will assist clients and other Risk professionals in performing information technology control and security engagements.

- Lead and manage projects focused on regulatory compliance within the Power & Utilities sector.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational processes and efficiency.
- Drive risk and controls project teams, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with clients to identify compliance challenges and develop tailored solutions.
- Provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements and industry trends.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's or master's degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Power & Utilities industry or consulting in the sector.
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance and understanding of operational processes in Power & Utilities particularly Work Management, Asset Management and/or Utility accounting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive project teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Successful candidates must work in excess of standard hours when necessary. A valid passport is required.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A bachelor's or master's degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant certifications are a plus. PMP, Six Sigma, CPA, CA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CBCP, CIA, CIPP, CGEIT certification is desired; non-certified hires are required to become certified to be eligible for promotion to Manager.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $87,800 to $160,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $105,400 to $182,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
