Job Summary:
EY delivers unparalleled service in regulatory reporting enabled through a mix of services including regulatory reporting technology architecture, data supply, and regulatory reporting vendor solution implementation. Key to the success is to enable organizations to leverage trusted source systems data to create a sustainable data stream for accurate regulatory reporting and analytic.
As a Senior Manager in our Regulatory Reporting Financial Technology practice, you will spend most of your time managing client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and managing business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts. You are expected to be able to demonstrate your expertise with Regulatory Reporting Technology. You will focus on delivering creative and error-free solutions to client challenges.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Experience with Regulatory Reporting technology applications and those that provide data for regulatory reporting such as Oracle
- Experience in areas such as financials, consolidation, regulatory reporting and controls.
- Experience working in a team environment and exhibit leadership skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills and an inclination to bond with the customer to provide an outstanding service delivery experience.
- Leading large-scale client engagements. Fostering relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently delivering quality client services. Driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
- Monitoring progress, managing risk, and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Managing expectations of client service delivery.
- Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client’s business.
- Effectively managing and motivating client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Providing constructive on- the- job feedback/coaching to team members.
- Fostering an innovative and inclusive team- oriented work environment. Playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization
- Cultivating and managing business development opportunities. Developing and maintaining long- term client relationships and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll spend most of your time managing client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and managing business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts. Specifically, you will:
- Lead and guide engagement teams, work product creation and overall quality through all phases of a regulatory reporting solution implementation project, including:

- Gathering regulatory reporting business requirements
- Translating business requirements into functional requirements
- Designing the regulatory reporting solution architecture system specifications
- Overseeing the configuration and development
- Testing system changes and results
- Developing the production support model
- Advice clients on a variety of regulatory reporting services to help identify, assess, manage, and measure the organization's capabilities.
- Leverage business process, organizational and technology capabilities, and knowledge across several of the following focus areas:
- Risk and Regulatory Reporting Operations/Technology
- Data Warehousing Features/Functionality
- Statutory Reporting Systems Features/Functionality
- Team with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliance associates to implement regulatory reporting vendor packages and related technology solutions
- Participate in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building and management.
- Support service delivery including but not limited to defining project approach, leading, and motivating project work streams, monitoring, and managing project risks, managing stakeholders, and successfully delivering client solutions.
- Identify opportunities and new business development, including building strong mid to senior level client relations, understanding client needs and EY solution offerings, communicating client opportunities to EY leadership.
- Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge and stay current with industry practices and regulatory guidance.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- 12+ years of work experience in system implementation execution, system implementation design, and/or lean / six-sigma operational improvement projects.
- 8+ years of regulatory reporting experience
- Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical)
- Strong interest in and passion for coaching or mentoring others
- Ability to identify opportunities for growth and subsequently take a leadership role in exploring new ideas
- Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing in English
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience at a financial services company or comparable industry experience
- Post-graduate / Graduate degree in computer science, engineering, IT, accounting, finance, or a related field
- Extensive exposure to requirements gathering and fit-gap analyses
- Strong knowledge of record-to-report processes
- Experience in data modelling and reporting engagements

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $171,600 to $392,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $205,900 to $445,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
