As the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) function, we collaborate with the business to deliver innovative, future-focused, audience-centric brand, marketing and communications. We have an integrated network of professionals worldwide and together we are building a distinctive brand, driving growth, inspiring people, and bringing our purpose to life.

The opportunity

The EY Global Reputation team plays a critical role in protecting and enhancing EY’s reputation worldwide. We are seeking an experienced and proactive communications professional to support the management of complex, high-profile and often time-sensitive issues across the global organization.

Working as part of a global team, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of strategic communications advice and strategy on the biggest issues of the day, while playing a hands-on role in the day-to-day management of reputational issues and broader global communications priorities.

This role requires strong judgment, excellent writing skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment. The successful candidate will support senior team members and global stakeholders, while taking ownership of defined workstreams and helping to drive coordinated, high-quality execution.

Your key responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse media coverage and social media activity, identifying emerging risks, trends and potential reputational impacts
  • Support the development of strategic communications strategies and advice on organizational priorities and time-sensitive issues.
  • Draft high-quality communications materials, including external statements, internal updates, briefing notes and messaging documents
  • Support engagement with media on cross-border issues, working closely with global and member firm media relations teams
  • Contribute to the coordination of global responses to reputational issues, ensuring alignment of messaging across markets
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the global BMC network and relevant business teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of issues management processes, guidance and playbooks
  • Bring insight and perspective on the evolving media environment, including new and emerging channels such as AI and LLM-driven platforms

Skills and attributes for success

  • A self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and ability to adapt and deliver results in fast moving situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise messaging
  • Sound judgment and attention to detail, particularly in high-pressure or sensitive situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across teams, geographies and functions

To qualify for the role you must have

  • At least three years’ experience in communications, public relations, corporate affairs or a related field; experience in large or international organizations is advantageous, but not required
  • Experience supporting the management of reputational issues, crisis situations, or sensitive communications
  • Experience drafting communications materials for internal and external audiences
  • Exposure to working in a global or multi-market environment

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Familiarity with media monitoring and social listening tools, and experience with social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, etc.)
  • Experience supporting senior stakeholders or contributing to executive communications
  • Cultural awareness and confidence working across regions and time zones

What we look for

We’re looking for a high-performing, reliable and adaptable team member who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and contributing to high-stakes situations.
