You will help businesses realize the value from their IT investments supporting strategy, improving the customer experience and driving growth. As part of a high-performing team, you will provide support our clients with technology-driven transformations related to value creation, technology enablement, new operating model structures, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Your key responsibilities
You will lead projects, either as stand-alone or elements of multiple client engagements. You will provide strategic insights to leadership, manage and motivate teams with diverse skillsets, deliver quality client service, and demonstrate technical capabilities, and knowledge across strategic technology oriented engagements. Senior Managers are expected to maintain long-term client relationships and networks to cultivate business development and future sales. At the same time, they should strive to continuously improve EY offerings and internal capabilities that drive future market demand.

We work with clients to plan and deliver business-led and technology-driven strategy development, future roadmap definition, and other transformation programs. We develop practical and executable plans to manage the journey from strategy through execution. Our team uses industry-leading methodologies and tools to accelerate start-up and enable highly efficient and effective transformation journey.
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 12 years of consulting or relevant industry experience
- Approximately 8+ years of experience in technology strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, or technology governance
- Approximately 3+ years of experience in pursuits/business developments and knowledge of consulting sales cycle
- In-depth industry experience in at least one of the following: banking and capital markets, Insurance (Life and Health, Property and Casualty etc.), and wealth and asset management
- Proven delivery skills, including the ability to scope/size a project; staff an appropriate team, provide subject-matter direction and guidance; manage communications with the project sponsors and the delivery of a work stream
- Experience working with IT leadership (CIO, IT Director) and business leadership (CEO, CFO, COO, BU President, etc) to assess IT issues and opportunities
- Experience applying structured problem-solving skills and strategy consulting frameworks into work products
- Ability to work with limited data points and information to generate hypothesis and strategic recommendations
- Experience in leading the technical direction of a project from initiation and requirements through design, build, testing, and implementation using frameworks such as Agile and Waterfall
- Expertise in one of key IT management processes and industry frameworks (e.g. CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 2700x, TOGAF, project management life cycles, systems development life cycles, PMBOK, Prince2, SAS70, SSAE 16 etc)
- In-depth experience across wide spectrum of IT including IT Strategy and Roadmap, IT Application Rationalization, IT Project and Program Management, IT Organization and Governance, IT Vendor Management and Procurement, IT Spend Analysis and Benchmarking
- Commitment to developing resources by providing effective performance feedback and making sure responsibilities are consistent with individual’s skills and goals
- Ability to travel to domestic and international client sites as much as 80% to 100% of a work week
In addition to the above, we require in depth experience in leading at least one of the following areas:
- Technology Solution Definition, Strategy, Operating Model, Planning and Delivery, with a focus on the following:
- IT Vendor Strategy and Roadmap
- IT Vendor Management and Procurement
- IT Governance, Demand Intake, Portfolio, and Program Management
- Mergers & Acquisitions, Divestitures, and Joint Ventures with a focus on the following:
- Re-engineering, turnaround, business integrations or divestitures with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- IT stand-alone and carve-out analysis for divestitures
- IT synergy analysis for mergers and acquisitions and ability to synthesize approaches to complex integrations
- Buy-side and sell-side IT pre-deal due-diligence, post deal and Value Creation engagements
- Cost Optimization and Value Creation, with a focus on the following :
- Proven experience delivering sustainable profitability and process transformation models
- In-depth experience with analyzing data to optimize business spend, and quantify associated benefits
- Expertise in conducting industry analysis and benchmarking to identify cost reduction and revenue maximization opportunities
- Experience in IT Infrastructure and Application Optimization
- Experience in delivering process efficiency by using knowledge of (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD) methodologies

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $150,400 to $343,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $180,500 to $390,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
