Our Property & Casualty (P&C) Transformation practice helps insurance clients improve and transform their commercial, specialty, personal and Excess & Surplus businesses in areas such as operating model redesign, capability assessment and roadmap design, business process transformation, technology and data enablement, organizational design, and post-merger integration.  We work across the value chain across distribution, products, underwriting, policy, claims, and billing.     

The opportunity   

We currently are seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager to lead client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services and manage business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.

Your key responsibilities    

• Leading large-scale client engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. You’ll monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.   
• Manage expectations of client service delivery.   
• Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business and P&C insurance industry.  
• Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization  
• Generate new business opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs  
• Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge. Possess in depth business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge  
• Understand/communicate complex insurance operational issues. Stay informed of and apply professional standards and firm policies  
• Develop a strong personal brand and enhance the EY brand by writing articles, participating in industry groups, and speaking at seminars     

To qualify for this role you must have   

• A bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience   
• A minimum of 5+ years of delivery experience working with multiple project teams   
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience working with P&C insurance carriers specifically commercial and specialty line carriers in the areas of product, policy, underwriting, and distribution.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and manage high level, executive relationships   
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams of business advisors through all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, process mapping, business capability re-engineering, application mapping etc.   
• Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, P&C insurance industry practices, and new application technologies   
• Strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, and interpersonal skills   
• Travel to client site as necessary   

Ideally, you’ll also have   

• A degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, engineering, management information systems, economics, or related disciplines; MBA or MS degree preferred
