As a Manager in Tax Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in managing and implementing tax compliance strategies for our clients. You will provide comprehensive support in tax compliance and reporting, including tax provision, direct and indirect tax returns preparation, and tax reform calculations, all while leveraging standardized processes and leading technology. Your efforts will focus on streamlining and optimizing compliance and reporting processes to align with business strategy, increase efficiency, and promote transparency. Additionally, you will encourage the development of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, and help shape operating models that support alignment with governing tax regulations and business objectives.
Your key responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of one or more processes, solutions, or projects, ensuring a strong focus on quality and effective risk management. You will drive continuous process improvement, identify innovative solutions through research and analysis, and apply your expertise to guide others and recommend quality solutions.
The position presents the challenge of leading workstream delivery, tracking project status, and managing engagement economics, all while actively participating in client working sessions and leading workstreams from planning through closure. You’ll learn to navigate complex tax environments, develop solutions to intricate problems, and recommend changes to policies and procedures that impact your team and potentially the broader business function

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree) in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law.
- Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience of related tax experience.
- CPA certification or licensed attorney status.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and accounting for income tax reporting requirements.
- Strong awareness of finance compliance and regulation.
- Understanding of global compliance requirements.
- Ability to assess tax legislation and its impact.
- Familiarity with outsourcing/co-sourcing models.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Understanding of US income tax accounting and tax provisions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools.
- Ability to build and manage relationships.
- Demonstrated client trust and value.
- Strong communication skills.
- Complex problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to drive outcomes and demonstrate learning agility.

- Experience leading professional employees or supervising others to deliver complex technical initiatives.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $103,600 to $189,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $124,300 to $215,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
