The Opportunity

EY's FAAS practice is expanding its Workiva implementation and optimization team, helping clients transform financial reporting, regulatory reporting, governance, risk and controls, and sustainability reporting processes through Workiva's connected platform.

We are seeking an experienced Manager to help build and scale EY's Workiva practice. This individual will serve as a solution architect and delivery leader, helping clients design, implement, optimize and sustain Workiva solutions primarily across Financial Reporting and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) use cases.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience leading complex Workiva implementations, designing enterprise reporting architectures, integrating Workiva with ERP, CPM, EPM and data platforms, and advising executive stakeholders on reporting process transformation. This role combines client delivery, solution architecture, practice development, alliance collaboration and business development responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Workiva implementation and optimization engagements across Financial Reporting & GRC solutions.
• Serve as lead solution architect for Workiva deployments, designing scalable reporting architectures, security models, governance frameworks, data models and integration strategies.

• Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business, accounting, regulatory and reporting needs into Workiva-enabled solutions.
• Design and oversee integrations between Workiva and ERP, CPM, EPM, data warehouse and source systems using Wdata, APIs and Workiva connectors.
• Lead design and optimization of reporting processes supporting SEC, regulatory, management, board, investor and statutory reporting.
• Configure and optimize Workiva platform components including Wdesk, Wdata, Chains, structured reporting workflows, controls management and reporting automation solutions.
• Lead executive-level workshops and solution demonstrations for prospective and existing clients.
• Mentor and develop EY's growing Workiva implementation team including the offshore delivery team and support Workiva certification and enablement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with EY Alliance, FAAS, Technology Consulting, Risk Consulting, ESG and Managed Services teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support business development activities including proposals, solution design, client pursuits, account planning, alliance activities, conferences and thought leadership.

Preferred Workiva platform experience

• Workiva Financial Reporting, SEC and Regulatory Reporting, XBRL and Disclosure Management. 
• Workiva Wdata, Data Management, Chains, APIs, connectors and connected reporting architectures. 

• Internal Controls Management (ICM), SOX Compliance, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Internal Audit and controls modernization use cases. 

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong solution architecture mindset, with the ability to design practical, scalable Workiva solutions that address client reporting, data and control needs. 

• Ability to lead client workshops, synthesize complex requirements and communicate clear solution recommendations to executive stakeholders. 

• A consulting-oriented delivery style, including ownership of scope, timeline, budget, quality, risks, issues and client expectations. 

• Ability to coach, supervise and develop engagement teams, including offshore delivery teams, while serving as a point person for Workiva technical and functional questions. 

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across accounting, reporting, finance transformation, technology, risk, ESG and managed services teams. 

• Commercial mindset and ability to support proposals, demonstrations, pursuit strategy and account expansion opportunities. 

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 6–10 years of experience supporting Workiva implementations, architecture or optimization services. 

• Experience serving as a functional lead, solution architect, project manager or implementation lead on multiple Workiva deployments. 

• Deep understanding of Workiva's connected reporting architecture, including Wdesk, Wdata, Chains, reporting automation, workflow management and data governance capabilities. 

• Experience implementing reporting solutions supporting SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, management reporting, SOX compliance, internal controls management or broader GRC programs. 

• Experience designing reporting and data architectures that integrate Workiva with ERP, EPM, CPM, data warehouse or source systems. 

• Experience leading client workshops, requirements definition sessions, design reviews, testing activities, training programs and executive stakeholder discussions. 

• Exceptional communication, presentation and client relationship management skills. 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Business, Data Analytics or a related field. 

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Previous experience at Workiva or a Workiva-certified implementation partner. 

• Current or prior Workiva certifications. 

• Experience supporting Fortune 1000 or large financial services organizations. 

• Experience with SEC reporting, SOX programs, internal audit, controls modernization or finance transformation initiatives. 

• Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, BlackLine, OneStream, Snowflake, Databricks, ServiceNow or Microsoft data ecosystems. 

• CPA, CFA, CMA, CISA or related professional certification.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job is: 
• • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $135,200 to $225,400
  • Bay Area California offices – $140,900 to $234,800
  • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $112,700 to $206,500
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
