FSO, Business Consulting - Studio & Marketing Transformation - Senior Manager
Job description
Location: New York, Boston, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta
At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.
We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.
At EY, we're committed to building a better working world. Our Studio+ practice brings together strategists, creatives, technologists, and data scientists to help Financial Services clients reimagine how they engage customers across Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking & Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance (INS).
The opportunity
As a Senior Manager in EY's Studio+ Marketing Transformation team, you will shape and lead our most strategic engagements with Financial Services clients across WAM, BCM, and INS. You will serve as a trusted advisor to CMOs and their leadership teams, helping them reinvent the marketing function end-to-end — and you will play a central role in growing Studio+ as a destination for modern marketing transformation in FS. Business development is a core part of this role.
Your key responsibilities
• Own complex, multi-workstream engagements spanning marketing strategy, operating model, operations, performance measurement, and forecasting.
• Advise FS CMOs and C-suite on B2B (ABM, onboarding), B2C (acquisition, retention, loyalty, cross-sell), and B2B2C (advisor, broker, partner, embedded) marketing strategies and models.
• Champion new approaches — GEO, AI-driven personalization, agentic marketing, modern attribution and forecasting — and translate them into pragmatic client outcomes.
• Lead the AI agenda for Marketing Transformation: define how AI-enabled martech tools reshape marketing operating models, ways of working, and value delivery.
• Drive engagement economics, quality, and risk; develop and manage high performing teams
Business development (core focus)
• Originate, qualify, and close new opportunities across WAM, BCM, and INS; build and own a personal pipeline.
• Develop and nurture senior client relationships (CMO, CGO, CDO, COO) and turn them into long-term engagements
• Lead pursuits end-to-end: shaping deals, leading proposals and orals, and negotiating commercials.
• Build and scale Studio+ offerings (marketing strategy, operating model, operations, performance, forecasting, AI-enabled marketing) and the go-to-market plan behind them.
• Represent EY externally (industry events, publications, alliances) and grow the Studio+ brand in the FS marketing community.
• Partner with EY account, sector, and alliance teams to drive cross-sell and pull-through revenue.
To qualify, you must have
• Bachelor's degree (MBA or Master's strongly preferred).
• 8+ years of relevant experience in marketing consulting, marketing leadership, or marketing transformation in Financial Services.
• Deep expertise in at least one FS sub-sector (WAM, BCM, or INS) and working knowledge of the others.
• Proven leadership across the marketing value chain — strategy, operating model, operations, performance, and forecasting.
• Track record across B2B (ABM, onboarding), B2C (acquisition, retention, loyalty, crosssell), and B2B2C contexts.
• Demonstrated track record in business development: originating, selling, and closing multi-million-dollar engagements.
• Strong fluency with AI tools and a clear point of view on how AI is reshaping marketing; experience embedding AI into client work and offerings.
• Demonstrated experience applying emerging approaches (GEO, AI, agentic marketing) in real client work.
• Willingness to travel 50–80%.
Ideally, you'll also have
• Senior leadership experience in an FS marketing function, a top consultancy, or a leading agency.
• A strong network across FS CMO and marketing leadership communities.
• Proven success building and growing practice areas, offerings, or studios.
• Experience shaping AI-enabled marketing propositions and selling them to FS clients.
What we look for
Senior leaders who combine a sharp Financial Services lens with a modern view of marketing (strategy → operating model → operations → measurement → forecasting), a strong business development track record, and fluency in AI — and who thrive in the multidisciplinary, build-and-deliver culture of Studio+.
