Job Title: OT Manager Architecture & Governance
PRACTICE DESCRIPTION:
As an OT Manager Architecture & Governance professional, you will be responsible for providing operational support for the client's current referenced architecture, overseeing and governing operational technology (OT) systems to enhance security and ensure overall compliance. You will work within a team of experts to ensure that OT architectures align with organizational goals and industry standards, promoting secure and efficient operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
In the role of OT Manager Architecture & Governance, You will oversee architectural changes and approvals for OT systems, VLANs, and controls, ensuring that all designs and implementations adhere to security, compliance, and operational standards. The primary purpose of this role is to operationalize existing processes and develop standard work supporting best practices around OT Cybersecurity. In addition, you will contribute to the creation of governance frameworks and guidelines to steer the development and deployment of OT solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with internal audit standards. You will collaborate with the client's OT security team to ensure strategic alignment and oversee the daily operational delivery and management of junior security architects. You will work with cross-functional teams to evaluate architectural designs, manage OT network changes, support defect and exception management, offer recommendations, and facilitate decision-making processes to improve the security and efficiency of OT environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide architecture oversight for OT systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Review and approve architectural designs and implementations for OT solutions, focusing on security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to OT architecture standards, guidelines, and governance processes.
- Establish governance frameworks and best practices for OT architecture and design processes.
- Collaborate with client cross-functional teams to assess architectural designs and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Lead and oversee a team of global junior network architects, ensuring effective collaboration, planning, and successful implementation of network and OT solutions, while achieving key operational milestones.
- Facilitate decision-making processes related to OT architecture, ensuring stakeholder alignment and buy-in.
- Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses for proposed changes to OT systems and architectures.
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements in the OT space to inform governance practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in architecture and governance within operational technology environments.
- Proven ability to lead and oversee a team of global junior network architects, working with the manager to ensure effective collaboration, planning, and successful implementation of network and OT solutions, while achieving key operational milestones.
- Strong understanding of OT systems, networking protocols, and security principles.
- Demonstrate familiarity with LEAN methodology and project management essentials to drive efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Experience with architecture frameworks and governance models (e.g., CMMC,NIST, ISO).
- Relevant certifications such as GICSP and IEC62443 are preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and facilitate discussions among stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and experience in managing multiple priorities.
