Assistant Director, Financial Services Brand & Marketing

Team: Financial Services Strategic Marketing Programs

Reports to: Financial Services Consulting and EYP Marketing Leader

The opportunity

As the Assistant Director, Financial Services Brand & Marketing, you will own the integrated marketing strategy and activation for EY Financial Services’ Digital Assets & Crypto portfolio and other emerging technology priorities. In this role, you will lead end-to-end go-to-market planning and execution across channels, partner closely with senior stakeholders across service lines and sectors and drive measurable outcomes through disciplined performance tracking and optimization.

Your key responsibilities

  • Own GTM strategy and integrated activation: Translate priorities into an actionable plan (audiences, messaging, channels, roadmap) and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across owned/digital, thought leadership, and events.
  • Define the story: Develop positioning and messaging that translates complex topics into clear, relevant, differentiated market narratives for priority audiences.
  • Stay insight-led: Use audience insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence to refine strategy and identify opportunities to deepen engagement and grow market presence.
  • Measure, learn, and optimize: Establish KPIs and reporting cadence; apply a test-and-learn approach and translate data into recommendations that guide investment and future strategy; provide executive-ready updates and keep work moving from decision to delivery.
  • Mobilize the matrix and protect the brand: Build trusted relationships across service lines, sectors, regions, and COEs to align priorities and deliver outcomes—while ensuring activities adhere to brand standards and required risk management protocols.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Partner with senior leaders to communicate priorities and shape strategy and activation plans aligned to firm goals.
  • Build post-campaign reporting and insights to improve decisions and performance over time.
  • Broad experience across integrated marketing disciplines including digital, social, demand generation, thought leadership, content strategy, events and sponsorship activation, and cross-channel program management.
  • Strong business acumen, executive presence, and ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience; professional services and/or financial services experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing integrated, multi-channel campaigns with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong project/program management skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives with tight governance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics into compelling market messages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Copilot /Word/PowerPoint/Excel) and modern marketing/analytics tooling.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Digital Assets & Crypto fluency — comfortable with the DA landscape (e.g., crypto, tokenization, stablecoins, digital infrastructure) and able to translate complex concepts into clear, market-facing narratives
  • Performance + ABM marketing experience — experience partnering on paid activation (e.g., LinkedIn/programmatic, geo-targeting/retargeting) and optimizing to measurable engagement outcomes (e.g., report views, CTR).
  • Strong matrix leadership and stakeholder influence — proven ability to build credibility, align cross-functional partners, and drive decisions/outcomes in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Test-and-learn, analytics-forward mindset — comfortable establishing KPIs, running a reporting cadence, and using insights to refine strategy and guide investment trade-offs.
  • Light people leadership / oversight experience — experience supervising or leading junior staff or project teams (assigning work, reviewing performance) and providing coaching/mentorship.
