The opportunity
Our Artificial Intelligence and Data team helps apply cutting edge technology and techniques to bring solutions to our clients. As part of that, you'll sit side-by-side with clients and diverse teams from EY to create a well-rounded approach to advising and solving challenging problems, some of which have not been solved before. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for researching, building, and implementing scalable artificial intelligence systems that learn and make predictions tailored to diverse business requirements across various environments, including cloud and on-premises. Key responsibilities include:
- Enhancing data pipelines and storage to ensure data is clean, accurate, and optimized for XOps processes.
- Monitoring and optimizing learning processes to continuously improve high-performance models.
- Collaborating with data and analytics professionals to industrialize analysis into effective actionable analytics solutions.
Your key responsibilities
In this role, you will manage complex processes and projects while maintaining a focus on quality and risk management. You will lead teams to achieve performance objectives and provide deep insights into best practices for solving complex problems. This position requires regular travel to engage with clients and manage relationships effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading engagement delivery and managing client relationships daily.
- Accountable for program/project management and engagement economics.
- Developing resource plans and budgets for engagements.
- Continuously improving processes by identifying innovative solutions through research and analysis.
- Managing professional employees and supervising teams to deliver complex technical initiatives, with accountability for performance and results.
- Engaging actively with clients, participating in daily working sessions, and leading workstreams from planning through execution to closure.
- Identifying opportunities for additional services and managing engagement economics.

- Lead teams of AI engineers and data scientists to deliver modern Machine Learning and AI solutions for clients.
- Stay current on AI technology trends, industry innovations, and regulatory requirements; provide guidance on ModelOps tools and architectures that integrate with client ecosystems.
- Apply combined business and technical knowledge to design and implement ModelOps target architecture for scalable AI deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional roles—Data Scientists, Engineers (Data, Cloud, MLOps, DevOps)—to implement and sustain solutions on client platforms.
- Understand clients’ data, AI, and technology landscape, along with business priorities and success measures.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, deliver high-quality services, and manage large-scale engagements within time and budget.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration and consensus-building skills, fostering constructive relationships in hybrid work environments.
- Solve complex problems using data-driven decision-making and computational thinking.
- Proficiency in deep learning, machine learning, programming, and data architecture design.
- Experience in cloud computing and technical design optimization.
- Communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and negotiate with confidence.
- Proven ability to develop solutions for complex challenges and recommend policy or process improvements.
- Sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques to achieve results.
- Lead teams effectively and manage organizational change.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree, or MS degree in Business or Economics, Technology Entrepreneurship, Computer Science, Informatics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Machine Learning
- Minimum of 8-10+ years of professional consulting experience in business or technology consulting or similar roles
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience directly managing technical teams and/or consulting teams
- Experience using and managing the deployment of Generative AI models and frameworks e.g. OpenAI family, open source LLMs, Dall-e, LlamaIndex, Langchain, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Experience working with popular ML packages such as scikit-learn, Pytorch and ONNX, or related ML libraries.
- Extensive experience using DevOps tools like GIT, Azure Devops and Agile tools such as Jira to develop and deploy analytical solutions with multiple features, pipelines, and releases.
- A solid understanding of Machine Learning (ML) workflows including ingesting, analysing, transforming data and evaluating results to make meaningful predictions.
- Experience with MLOps methods and platforms such as MLFlow.
- Strong skills in Python.
- Experience with CI/CD and test-driven development.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining ML models, frameworks, and pipelines.
- Experience designing and deploying end to end ML workflows on at least one major cloud computing platform.
- Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software engineering best practices.
- Proficiency using data manipulation tools and libraries such as SQL, Pandas, and Spark.
- Clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and opportunities to improve data systems and solutions.
- Experience with containerization and scaling models.
- Willingness to travel to meet client obligations.
- Strong knowledge of AI technologies and frameworks
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive successful outcomes

Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in leading business or IT transformation projects that have supported data science, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and cloud applications at scale
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards related to AI ethics, privacy, and data protection
- Working experience with Agile and/or Scrum methods of delivery
- Working experience with design led thinking
- Microsoft, Databricks, AWS, NVIDIA or Snowflake Certifications in the Data & AI domain
- A deep understanding of and ability to teach concepts, tools, features, functions, and benefits of different approaches to apply them.
- Master's degree Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or other quantitative field.
- Strong skills in languages beyond Python: R, JavaScript, Java, C++, C.
- Experience fine-tuning Generative AI models.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- A proven track record in client engagement and relationship management.
- Experience in managing change and driving innovation.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $144,000 to $329,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $172,800 to $374,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
