AI Developer and Strategist

Location: NYC

The opportunity

This role is responsible for driving the successful execution of AI special projects, developing and testing AI systems, conducting primary research and benchmarking studies, building reports and strategy materials, working with clients on AI implementations and strategy, and developing technology systems that support AI capabilities. The role ensures that EY's AI initiatives meet market demands and achieve strategic business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

• Work on AI special projects for the firm, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Develop and test AI systems to meet project requirements.
• Operationalize models into production environments, ensuring high availability, low latency, and reliability.
• Integrate ML solutions with existing applications and APIs to deliver seamless end-user experiences.
• Develop technology systems that support AI capabilities, such as front ends and databases.
• Conduct primary research and benchmarking studies for AI systems to ensure market relevance and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Build reports and strategy materials on AI initiatives, including communication and presentation.
• Work with clients on AI implementations and strategy to ensure successful adoption and long-term success.
• Take responsibility for complex projects and work independently with periodic feedback.
• Provide data and benefits tracking and analytics direction and oversight to staff.
• Mentor and train junior team members to familiarize them with firm processes and policies.
• Manage process team members or coordinate virtual teams engaged in completing process initiatives, including assigning work and reviewing performance.
• Drive process initiatives, support subordinates and colleagues to meet their deadlines, and encourage input and learning among all team members.

Skills and attributes for success

• Hand on Capabilities in AI Technologies e.g. Azure Open AI, Open Source LLMs, Agentic Frameworks
• Expert-level analytical skills and ability to liaise among multiple business units and stakeholders, prioritize competing interests, and enforce deadlines.
• Flexibility needed in order to connect and work with others given that we are a distributed business and often work across time zones and across national borders and language lines

To qualify for the role you must have

• BS/BA in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of working experience in related field or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel as it may be required from time to time to complete assignments
• Strong Coding Proficiency: Python, JavaScript, SQL, Cloud Tooling
• Strong presentation skills, especially with C-Suite and senior leadership.
• Knowledge of MS 365 (Powerpoint, Excel)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Advanced Degree in a related field
• Prior experience managing people / teams that analyze technology systems
• Prior experience delivering AI capabilities in a large organization
