The Government and public sector transactions services is part of EY's Government & Public Sector (GPS) Services which is a network of highly skilled professionals from assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, devoted to serving the government and public sector organizations and institutions. 

The practice combines private sector leading practice with an understanding of the public sector’s diverse needs, focused on delivering improved public services. Government and public sector transactions services, sits under EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, a market-leading, multi-disciplinary team, working with leading businesses across a range of industries. This practice is in a unique position to deliver implementable strategies given the firm’s sector depth, transaction perspectives, and operational insights. 

The practice provides experience working with various sectors such as, Transport, Social & Health care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, Economic Development Advisory , Water waste & Sanitation, Power & Utilities and Public Finance & Management.


SaT - TCF - Lead Advisory-Project Finance :

Strategy and Transactions enables clients to reimagine ecosystems, reshape portfolios and reinvent for a better future. Using our Capital Agenda framework, we work with clients to find answers to today’s toughest strategic, financial, operational and commercial questions. We help corporates, private equity, governments, sovereign wealth funds, private and family businesses, and educational institutions with their key financial issues. From portfolio review and capital allocation processes to financial planning analytics and decision support, we have the people, analytics and tools to better allocate capital. Our team helps clients manage their risk/return trade-offs to support them with better decision-making around financing and capital efficiency.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence


1. Understanding of Investment Promotion Strategy
Sectoral Knowledge: Expertise in various industries like manufacturing, IT, renewable energy, infrastructure, agriculture, etc., to develop sector-specific strategies.
Global Market Trends: Awareness of global investment trends, economic shifts, and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for investment.
Investment Trends & Incentives: In-depth knowledge of the fiscal and non-fiscal incentives offered by different regions and countries, as well as global best practices in attracting investments.
2. Economic Analysis and Feasibility Studies
Economic Research & Analysis: Ability to conduct macroeconomic analysis and assess the financial impact of investment projects on the regional economy.
Cost-Benefit Analysis: Expertise in evaluating the economic benefits of potential investment projects, including job creation, technology transfer, and sectoral development.
Market Assessment: Experience in conducting feasibility studies, demand-supply analysis, and SWOT analysis to identify the competitive advantage of a region.
3. Policy Formulation and Regulatory Knowledge
Policy Advocacy: Understanding how to formulate, review, and advocate investment-friendly policies that promote ease of doing business and streamline regulatory frameworks.
Regulatory Landscape: Proficiency in the legal and regulatory frameworks governing FDI (Foreign Direct Investment), joint ventures, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).
Investment Agreements: Skills in drafting and negotiating investment agreements, MOUs, and contracts in alignment with national policies and international norms.
4. Investor Relations and Stakeholder Management
Investor Outreach: Proficiency in developing and managing investor outreach programs, roadshows, and promotional campaigns both locally and internationally.
CRM Tools & Portals: Familiarity with CRM tools and investment promotion portals that streamline investor communication, project tracking, and follow-up.
Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector firms, and financial institutions.

Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

MBA degree from a reputed institute preferably in Public Policy or Master's in Economics or relevant subjects. 

Experience

Atleast 5-7 Years of experience working with Investment Promotion Agencies of Govt. or with with any Govt. Department involving work related to sector promotion, region/cluster promotion, policy formulation, FDI promotion.
