  Job description:

   

  We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Technical Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in both classic and modern ABAP development, including CDS views, AMDP, OData services, and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). This role will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting custom solutions, enhancements, and integrations within our S/4HANA landscape.

   

  WHAT YOU’LL DO:

   

  Technical Responsibilities

  • Classic ABAP Development: Develop, enhance, and debug classic ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICEFW) across various SAP modules, including experience with BADI, user exits, customer exits, Smartforms, Adobe Forms, and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS).
  • Modern ABAP Development:
    • CDS Views: Design, develop, and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) views for analytical reporting, OData services, and general data consumption.
    • AMDP: Develop ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) for high-performance data processing on SAP HANA.
    • OData Services: Create and expose OData services using both SEGW and RAP for integration with Fiori apps and external systems.
    • ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP): Develop new applications and extend existing ones using the RAP framework for efficient and scalable Fiori-based solutions.
  • Integration: Design and implement integrations between S/4HANA and other SAP modules or external systems using various integration technologies (e.g., OData, SOAP, RFC, CPI, PI/PO).
  • Data Migration: Participate in data migration activities to S/4HANA, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize the performance of ABAP programs, CDS views, and database operations.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex issues in S/4HANA, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical specifications, design documents, and unit test plans.
  • Cloud Mindset: Understanding of cloud-native development principles and their application within the S/4HANA context, including adaptability and continuous delivery.

   

  HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant.
  • At least 2 full lifecycle implementations of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Proven hands-on experience with classic ABAP development (reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms), including BADI, user exits, customer exits, Smartforms, Adobe Forms, and Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS).
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern ABAP development techniques, including:
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in designing and developing CDS views (DDIC, DDL, DCL, consumption views).
    • Proficiency in developing and optimizing ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
    • Experience in creating and consuming OData services (both via SEGW and RAP).
    • Solid understanding and practical experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) for Fiori application development.
  • Strong understanding of integration concepts and experience with various integration technologies (e.g., OData, SOAP, RFC, CPI, PI/PO).
  • Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development and integration is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
