Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

 

  • The Senior Consultant – GCC HR Advisory will play a critical role in advising multinational organizations on establishing, scaling, and transforming Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Global Business Services (GBS) in India and other offshore locations. The role spans HR transformation strategy, operating model design, service delivery, workforce and talent transformation, and HR digital enablement across the GCC lifecycle. This position requires strong consulting acumen, deep HR functional expertise, transformation delivery experience, and senior stakeholder engagement, combined with the ability to contribute to business development and thought leadership in the HR transformation and GCC space. Key Responsibilities HR Transformation & Operating Model Design Lead and deliver end-to-end HR Transformation programs, covering strategy, design, implementation, and stabilization. Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOMs) for HR, including roles, governance, processes, capabilities, and technology components. Lead process re-engineering and optimization initiatives across the HR lifecycle (Hire to Retire). Design and implement scalable HR service delivery models, including global, regional, hybrid, and shared services constructs. Contribute to HR lifecycle process design, covering recruitment, onboarding, performance management, rewards, development, exits, and employee relations. Talent & Workforce Solutions Design and advise on talent acquisition strategies for GCCs, including employer branding, hiring models, and scalability planning. Support clients in defining skills taxonomy, career architecture, and progression frameworks for GCC talent. Advise on leadership and critical role identification, succession planning, and capability development for GCCs. Partner with clients on retention, engagement, and productivity levers, particularly for niche and digital skill sets. GCC / GBS Setup & Transformation Drive GCC and GBS setup and transformation initiatives from an HR and talent perspective, including shared services design, role migration, and transition planning. Support clients in defining workforce strategy, organization design, talent transformation, and skills evolution aligned to GCC growth trajectories. Support development of GCC HR operating models, including HR governance, role clarity between global HQ and GCC, and decision-right frameworks. Design workforce and skills strategies for GCCs, including location strategy, role migration, capability build, and talent segmentation. Support development of governance, service management, SLAs, KPIs, and performance tracking for HR services across geographies. HR Digital Transformation & Analytics Support HR digital transformation initiatives, including HRMS and cloud-based platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar systems. Assist in HR technology evaluation, selection, configuration, and implementation, working closely with business and IT stakeholders. Help design HR data dashboards, people analytics frameworks, and reporting models to enable data-driven decision-making. Provide advisory on aligning process, data, and technology within HR transformation programs. Research, Compliance & Insights Conduct comprehensive primary, secondary, and AI-enabled research on GCC HR best practices, operating models, and emerging trends. Perform competitive analysis and market research to inform workforce strategy, rewards design, and talent decisions. Analyze Indian labor laws, statutory requirements, and local regulations impacting GCC and shared services operations. HR Policies, Processes & Governance Advise on HR policies and practices aligned to global standards while remaining locally compliant and culturally relevant. Support design of performance management, rewards, and recognition frameworks tailored to GCC environments. Help establish HR governance models, SLAs, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms across global and local stakeholders. Provide insight on compliance, labor regulations, and risk considerations relevant to GCC operations. Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement Facilitate client workshops, diagnostics, and design sessions, translating insights into pragmatic solutions. Lead and support stakeholder discussions and change management initiatives, ensuring adoption of new HR models and processes. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including CHROs, GCC Heads, HR Leaders, and Business Leaders.

 


Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

  • Master of Business Administration
  • PG Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Masters in Psychology

Experience

  • Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams
  • Prior exposure to GBS advisory / GCC setup / shared services transformation
  • Demonstrated experience in RFP responses and client pitching
  • Exposure to change management and transformation programs
  • Experience in workforce strategy, org design, or HR service delivery transformation
  • Exposure to HR tech platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, etc.) is a plus
  • Hands-on experience in HR strategy, talent management, workforce planning, or operating model design.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in management consulting, GCC advisory, HR transformation, or GCC HR roles.
  • Deep knowledge of HR systems, processes, and talent practices across the employee lifecycle.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-project environments with high levels of ownership.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional and global teams.
