The Government and public sector transactions services is part of EY's Government & Public Sector (GPS) Services which is a network of highly skilled professionals from assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, devoted to serving the government and public sector organizations and institutions.
The practice combines private sector leading practice with an understanding of the public sector’s diverse needs, focused on delivering improved public services. Government and public sector transactions services, sits under EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, a market-leading, multi-disciplinary team, working with leading businesses across a range of industries. This practice is in a unique position to deliver implementable strategies given the firm’s sector depth, transaction perspectives, and operational insights.
The practice provides experience working with various sectors such as, Transport, Social & Health care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, Economic Development Advisory , Water waste & Sanitation, Power & Utilities and Public Finance & Management.
SaT - TCF - Infrastructure Advisory :
Strategy and Transactions enables clients to reimagine ecosystems, reshape portfolios and reinvent for a better future. Using our Capital Agenda framework, we work with clients to find answers to today’s toughest strategic, financial, operational and commercial questions. We help corporates, private equity, governments, sovereign wealth funds, private and family businesses, and educational institutions with their key financial issues. From portfolio review and capital allocation processes to financial planning analytics and decision support, we have the people, analytics and tools to better allocate capital. Our team helps clients manage their risk/return trade-offs to support them with better decision-making around financing and capital efficiency.
Whether clients are preserving, optimizing, raising or investing, our Connected Capital Solutions (CCS) are our five go-to-market offerings that help drive competitive advantage and increased returns through improved decision-making. The CCS include Strategy, Corporate Finance, Buy and Integrate, Sell and Separate and Reshaping Results, and are underpinned by our Connected Capital Technologies.
Our key focus areas are - Investment Banking Advisory, Valuations, Modeling and Economics, Transaction Diligence, Restructuring and Turnaround Services, Project Finance and infrastructure, EY Parthenon - Strategy and EY Parthenon - Execution.
Your key responsibilities
Technical Excellence
- A. Investment Promotion Strategy & Planning 1. Develop a comprehensive Investment Promotion Plan to attract investors, developers, and other stakeholders in the Textile and Apparel sector. 2. Apply suitable investment promotion and market sounding frameworks to develop targeted strategies for different stakeholder groups. 3. Assist the Department in: o Formulating an investment promotion strategy and detailed action plan; and o Implementing the approved investment promotion action plan. B. Investor Identification, Outreach & Project Marketing 1. Identify and create a pipeline of potential domestic and international investors, developers, and infrastructure players. 2. Market the Textile Park projects and related investment opportunities to: o Private sector Master Developers o Industrial park developers o Infrastructure and logistics developers 3. Conduct structured outreach through: o One to one meetings o Presentations and project pitches o Targeted consultations with prospective developers and investors. C. Stakeholder Consultations & Engagement 1. Assist the Department in organizing and conducting: o Textile/Apparel sector specific stakeholder consultations o Focused Group Discussions (FGDs) o Investor roundtables and conferences 2. Support investor engagement activities aimed at positioning Uttar Pradesh as an attractive investment destination. D. Marketing, Knowledge Content & Communication 1. Assist in developing knowledge and marketing content, including: o Project brochures and flyers o Investment presentations and pitch decks o Sectoral notes and policy briefs 2. Ensure all communication materials clearly articulate: o Project details and value proposition o Policy incentives and facilitation mechanisms o Infrastructure and locational advantages. E. Events, Roadshows & Promotional Activities 1. Assist the Department in participating in and organizing: o Regional, National, and International investment promotion events o Trade fairs, exhibitions, and sector specific forums 2. Support the organization of: o Roadshows, workshops, and seminars o Media campaigns for investment promotion 3. Facilitate and coordinate the Department’s participation in national and international textile and apparel sector events. F. Inter Governmental Coordination 1. Maintain regular communication and coordination with: o Ministry of Textiles / other relevant Central Government Ministries o Central Government agencies and authorities o Other State Government departments and agencies 2. Support alignment of state level initiatives with Central Government schemes, policies, and programs relevant to the Textile and Apparel sector. G. Other Responsibilities 1. Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities related to investment promotion, project marketing, and investor facilitation as may be assigned by the Client/Department from time to time.
Skills and attributes
To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification
- "Masters degree/ diploma in Management / Finance / Economics / Infrastructure or any equivalent degree with 10 years of working experience including 5 years with central/ state governments."
Experience
- Investment promotion experience of at least 4 years with central/ state governments including 2 years in the textile sector.
