EY Consulting is made up of three sub-service lines: Business Consulting (including Performance Improvement and Risk Consulting), Technology Consulting and People Advisory Services. 

Business Consulting works with clients to reimagine or transform their business purpose and model; create growth; manage cost and efficiency; respond to market pressures and regulation; and resolve operational challenges. The scope of this team encompasses innovation, strategy and purpose, through deep functional experience in business transformation, finance, supply chain and operations, providing support for the complex and large-scale program and portfolio management.

Finance Consulting - helps assess and transform our clients' finance function to improve performance and effectiveness. We help organizations implement service and cost improvement initiatives, and embed a performance management process and culture that unites the business around its core objectives.

Business Transformation - a m?ultidisciplinary competency, gathering capabilities in transformation architecture, experience design, business design and transformation execution to problem-solve, design and deliver large scale, multi-year, multi-stakeholder transformation programs.

Supply Chain and Operations - we provide a unique combination of industry-specific, strategic, operational and financial insights, digital technology advances and strategic alliance partners to deliver better outcomes and also help clients effect fundamental change in their operations’ performance to support sales growth, become more cost competitive, minimize risk and ensure operational resilience.


Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

 

  • Business Planning & Service Delivery
  • Convert business priorities into clear operating plans, capacity requirements, service objectives and team goals.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for the assigned finance process or portfolio, ensuring agreed service levels, quality, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor operational performance through meaningful KPIs, root-cause analysis and action plans; provide transparent updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Plan resources effectively across business cycles, month/quarter/year-end peaks, transitions and transformation initiatives. Finance Process Leadership
  • Lead one or more finance domains based on experience and business need: RTR, PTP, OTC, Treasury, Controllership and/or FP&A.
  • For RTR/Controllership: oversee close, general ledger, reconciliations, journal governance, intercompany, reporting, balance-sheet integrity and audit support, as applicable.
  • For PTP: oversee purchasing-to-payment operations including invoice processing, controls, vendor queries, payments, ageing and working-capital opportunities, as applicable.
  • For OTC: oversee billing, cash application, collections, credit management, dispute resolution, receivables reporting and working-capital performance, as applicable.
  • For Treasury: oversee cash positioning, liquidity, banking operations, payments, forecasts, controls and treasury reporting, as applicable.
  • For FP&A: oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis, performance insights and decision support, as applicable. Controls, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure processes operate in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, delegation of authority, regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
  • Maintain robust process documentation, SOPs, desktop procedures, control evidence and knowledge repositories.
  • Identify financial and operational risks early, implement preventive and corrective actions, and support internal, statutory and external audits.
  • Promote a strong controls and compliance culture while balancing governance with efficient business outcomes. Transformation & Operational Excellence
  • Drive simplification, standardization, automation and productivity improvement across the assigned portfolio.
  • Use data and process insights to identify recurring issues, remove non-value-added activities and improve customer experience.
  • Partner with technology, process owners and business teams on system implementations, migrations, transitions and continuous-improvement programs.
  • Embed scalable ways of working and share leading practices across teams and locations. Stakeholder & Change Management
  • Build trusted relationships with business finance, operations, procurement, sales, tax, legal, technology, banks, vendors, customers and auditors, as relevant to the portfolio.
  • Facilitate governance reviews, resolve escalations, communicate trade-offs clearly and ensure ownership of agreed actions.
  • Act as a change leader during organizational, process and technology transformation. People Leadership
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team with clear accountability, role clarity and performance expectations.
  • Plan staffing, hiring, onboarding, succession and capability development in line with current and future business needs.
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative and learning-oriented environment that supports engagement, retention and internal mobility.

 


Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

  • Graduation/Post Graduation in Accounting or related fields

Experience

  • 2-5 years
