Our Markets team focuses on providing account teams with the support they need to help drive revenue growth. Our "account-centric" approach to serving clients starts with understanding their business and providing tools and enablers to provide  consistency on how we identify and align our services and solutions to our clients' most pressing issues. We deliver services through one or more of our four global service lines: Assurance, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions and Tax. Our Markets team comprises of Business Development and Brand Media & Communication (BMC).

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• The Director – Architecture will lead the architectural vision, strategy, and execution for EY India’s Client Technology portfolio, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing platforms that power digital transformation across the firm. This leader will oversee architecture for multiple product lines spanning Tax, Assurance, Consulting, and Strategy & Transactions, while driving alignment with EY’s global frameworks and modern technology standards. Key Responsibilities: Define and drive the enterprise architecture roadmap across product lines, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and alignment with EY’s long-term technology strategy. Lead a team of architects, fostering a culture of design excellence, innovation, and accountability. Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate business goals into resilient, modular, and cloud-native architectures. Guide the evolution of EY India’s platform ecosystem by embedding AI, agentic systems, and data-driven automation into core product architectures. Establish architectural governance processes, design standards, and reusable frameworks to accelerate delivery and reduce technical debt. Institutionalize architecture review boards and technical councils to ensure all new products and technology investments align with enterprise principles. Evaluate emerging technologies and global reference architectures to inform local build vs. buy decisions and modernization efforts. Oversee POCs and technical spikes to validate new patterns, frameworks, and technologies. Champion AI-assisted design, code generation, and architecture validation tools to accelerate engineering productivity. Collaborate with global EY architecture councils to ensure consistency and leverage shared infrastructure, data fabrics, and security protocols. Key Requirements: 14–20 years of experience in software architecture and engineering, including 5+ years in enterprise or platform architecture leadership roles. Proven expertise in designing and scaling multi-tenant, cloud-native enterprise systems on Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP. Strong understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, API-first and event-driven architectures, DevSecOps, and zero-trust security models. Demonstrated success leading architectural transformations that deliver measurable performance, reliability, and business impact. Hands-on technical depth with the ability to review and influence design decisions across multiple technology stacks. Track record of building and mentoring high-performing architect teams across domains. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of aligning CXOs, product leaders, and engineering teams around shared architecture principles. Exposure to AI, LLMs, and agentic patterns preferred, with a focus on how they can augment development and client delivery. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or equivalent are preferred.
