The Opportunity
The Transactions Strategy & Execution (TSE) team advises clients across the entire deal lifecycle—pre-deal diligence, Day 1 planning, post-merger integration, carve-outs, and long-term value creation. The team partners with corporates and private equity clients to manage transformational change and operationalize deal strategy.
Our professionals work cross-functionally to evaluate operational, financial, and people-related risks and synergies, providing data-driven, actionable recommendations to drive deal success.
We are hiring Managers/AVPs with deep expertise in one of three functional domains: Operations, Finance, or Human Resources, to lead transaction projects, advise senior stakeholders, and contribute to the growth of our market presence.
Common Responsibilities Across All Functional Tracks
- Lead and support M&A engagements including due diligence, integration, separation, and value creation initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, understanding their strategic goals and aligning transaction strategies accordingly.
- Analyze large datasets and provide insights across financial, operational, or people dimensions depending on the functional track.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the client’s functional area and across cross-functional teams.
- Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including strategic reports, synergy assessments, and implementation roadmaps (Day 1/Day 100).
- Lead proposal development and participate in business development initiatives.
- Manage multiple engagements and teams, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and client satisfaction.
Track 1: Functional Expertise – Operations (ODD & Value Creation)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Operational Due Diligence (ODD) for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Lead post-merger value creation and business transformation programs.
- Work across areas such as supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and shared services.
- Support clients in synergy assessment, operating model design, and performance improvement.
- Develop high-impact growth and EBITDA transformation plans.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in consulting or transformation roles in sectors like Industrials, Automotive, Chemicals, Consumer Goods, Pharma, or Retail.
- Hands-on experience in supply chain optimization, lean operations, or manufacturing excellence.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks for operational benchmarking and strategic cost reduction.
Track 2: Functional Expertise – Finance
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial due diligence, carve-out analysis, and integration planning from a finance perspective.
- Analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows) to derive key insights.
- Design and assess finance function processes: P2P, O2C, R2R, tax, treasury, inventory valuation, and FP&A.
- Evaluate financial and operational controls, management reporting systems, and ERP platforms.
- Support finance transformation initiatives and identify Day 1 readiness gaps.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in financial transformation, controllership, FP&A, or finance shared services.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, finance processes, and enterprise finance systems.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and pricing analytics.
Track 3: Functional Expertise – Human Resources
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR due diligence, integration, and separation activities during M&A transactions.
- Evaluate compensation & benefits structures, organizational design, and people policies.
- Advise on end-to-end employee lifecycle processes: recruitment, performance management, payroll, L&D, and exit.
- Conduct cultural assessments, labor law compliance reviews, and change management planning.
- Identify HR-related synergies and risks and develop integration roadmaps.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in HR transformation, HR operations, or consulting with focus on people strategy.
- Knowledge of HCM systems and HR analytics.
- Strong grasp of organizational behavior, talent strategy, and communications planning during change.
Skills and Attributes for Success (Applicable Across Tracks)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines across multiple engagements.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Finance Track: CA / MBA in Finance or equivalent.
- HR Track: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources.
- Operations Track: MBA in Strategy/Operations or BE with industry experience.
- Experience:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in a consulting, corporate, or industry setting with exposure to M&A or transformation projects.
- Prior experience in at least 2 relevant areas under the selected functional track.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in a top-tier consulting firm or equivalent internal strategy/transformation team.
- Exposure to private equity-backed transactions.
- Experience working with cross-border teams and global clients.
- Passion for working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
