You will be working in teams with experienced professionals, where you will learn and develop the skills you need across the strategy and transaction lifecycle, across a range of situations and sectors.

Key responsibilities:
- Help clients achieve their strategic goals, whether they are acquiring or divesting assets
- Advise clients during the transaction lifecycle to identify key value drivers (risks and opportunities) and challenge assumptions about future performance
- Work with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated service to our clients
- Work on cross-border assignments in collaboration with other EY offices globally
- Perform industry, regulation and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
- Utilise data analysis tools (Alteryx and Power BI) to evaluate financial statements and operational performance
- Assist in the preparation of valuations for a variety of purposes such as financial reporting, transactions, tax, and litigation
- Analyse and present complex financial information, including navigating financial models
- Assist in preparing detailed report and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties to effectively communicate findings and recommendations
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel

- Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second-class upper honours or equivalent in any relevant fields of study, including but not limited to; - Commerce, Accounting or Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or International Business.
- A minimum overall grade of a B in KCSE and B in both English and Mathematics
- At least four years of transaction work experience
- Entrepreneurial mind set and business acumen
- Passion for helping clients achieve their potential
- Able to analyse financial and non-financial information to formulate views and conclusions
- Familiar with fundamental concepts of accounting including IFRS
- Good presentation skills
- Possess data analysis & critical thinking skills with a flair in MS Excel applications
Ideally, you’ll also have (not compulsory but highly advantageous)
- MBA, Master in finance or other relevant masters degree
- CFA/CPA/CA/ACA/ACCA or similar financial qualification
