The opportunity : Senior Manager - Consulting Risk – Change Business Analyst – FS - Mumbai

 

Financial Services Risk - helps clients in the financial sector to identify, manage and monitor the risks in their business. It is done through a transformative and agile approach including process and procedures, risk, data modeling and analytics, reporting to stakeholders and third parties, business requirements (for software selection and IT implementation), analysis of assets and liabilities, and capital and liquidity management.


Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

  • Business Analyst to join Change team working on operational platform enhancements with broad experience working with investment fund processes, systems and data in private markets, eFront Invest or equivalent, both on functionality within applications, and with related application integrations and data warehouses.
  • Business Analyst will support project delivery across multiple areas including strategy, business change, systems development and implementation.  
    • Requires strong stakeholder management skills and will work independently with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of seniority, dealing with business users, management, SaaS vendors and internal IT functions, and will maintain networks with senior SMEs and stakeholders.
    • Proficeincy in managing change backlogs and in eliciting, validating and tracking business and system requirements from initiation through to successful delivery, and will have BA skills covering process mapping, data cataloguing and system design.
  • The Business Analyst is expected to assume the following responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
    • Develop a clear understanding of new projects, including eliciting objectives, scope and success criteria
    • Gather and document business requirements and acceptance criteria
    • Define and document end-to-end as-is and to-be business process maps, data flows, use cases and entity relationship diagrams and other relevant project artefacts
    • Consistently own and drive through project issues to a successful resolution with the respective teams in a timely manner
    • Collaborate with technology and business team partners to drive consensus
    • Work with business and, technology colleagues to verify and validate requirements against solution delivery at each step of the lifecycle
    • Pro-actively establish working relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts
    • Support the successful adoption of business and IT change within the business community by maintaining engagement with the user base, enabling training and support as required
    • Report periodically on status, progress, risks and issues to stakeholders and management

 

Skills and attributes

 

To qualify for the role you must have


Qualification

  • 5+ years in the financial services sector, with a strong track record of delivering projects — ideally within Private Markets or Fund Management
  • Knowledge of the investment management and related systems and processes (Fund administration, investment and fund setup, transactions and valuations management)
  • Knowledge and experience of data platforms, data warehousing and reporting
  • Knowledge and experience of defining system interfaces and integration
  • Experience running workshops with both business and technical stakeholders to elicit business processes and requirements, review analysis and validate documented project artefacts
  • Ability to elicit and document process flows with BPMN using appropriate tools (e.g. MS Visio)
  • Experience of Waterfall and Agile Scrum project life cycles within a structured environment
  • Experience with backlog management in Azure DevOps or Jira, with Project management, scrum master or team management skills
  • Exposure to working with external third-party vendors and partners
  • Ability to develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies, build strong rapport, constructively challenge stakeholder assumptions and mediate between conflicting requirements 
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and succinct manner
