The breadth of experiences of FSRM professionals enables the practice to coordinate the delivery of a broad array of risk management services to capital market participants throughout the world in a well-integrated manner.
All about the Role : Financial Accounting/ Reporting Business Analyst
The Financial Accountant/Reporting BA is responsible supporting finance team in applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. They Would work to improve financial processes, systems, and strategies by combining accounting expertise with analytical skills.
Key Responsibility:
- Led financial accounting analysis for monthly and quarterly financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Support finance team in preparation, examination, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Developed financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Conducted data analysis using SQL and Power BI to improve financial performance insights.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to management
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Liaise with external auditors and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise.
- Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
- Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
- Evaluate and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments, and future revenues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, gather and document detailed business requirements and translate them into JIRA user stories.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops and requirements elicitation sessions to identify and prioritize business requirements and user stories.
- Work with development team to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and solutions are designed and implemented to meet business needs.
