Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

 

  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, with a focus on construction disputes, delay analysis, and quantum assessment.
  • Proven track record of serving as an expert witness in construction-related disputes, with a strong portfolio of successful cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction project management, scheduling, and claims management techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software for scheduling and delay analysis (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with legal teams and clients.
  • Professional certifications related to construction dispute resolution and expert witness services are advantageous (e.g., PMP, RICS, CCE, AACE).
  • Strong understanding of relevant construction laws, contract administration, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to manage a team of experts and analysts.
  • Good clientele and network with high level stakeholders of construction industry
  • Represented client as independent expert witness in arbitration cases related to delay or claims analysis


Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is a plus.

Experience

 

  • Manager : 5+ years
    • Conduct detailed analysis of construction project schedules, identifying critical path delays, disruptions, and impacts on the project timeline. Utilize industry-standard methodologies such as critical path method (CPM) and forensic schedule analysis to determine causes and quantify delays.
    • Assess and quantify damages related to construction disputes, including additional costs, change orders, loss of productivity, and other financial impacts. Utilize established methodologies and industry best practices for accurate cost estimation.
    • Prepare well-structured, comprehensive technical reports outlining your findings, analysis, and expert opinions. Ensure that reports are clear, concise, and suitable for legal proceedings.
    • Work closely with attorneys, solicitors, and other legal professionals to understand case strategies and provide expert advice to support their arguments.
