We help our clients in identifying and managing the interplay between upside and downside risk in order to make the long-term decisions to prevent risk and impact on their organization's ability to meet its future business strategy and objectives. The 3 key fields of play are :

Enterprise Risk - helps clients identify and address key risk areas, while building the agility to respond quickly. The areas of focus include Enterprise risk and resilience, Internal audit, Compliance and Internal controls

Technology Risk - helps clients to achieve sustainable growth by supporting their efforts to protect their business performance and by providing trusted communications on internal control and regulatory compliance to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders. EY teams accomplish this by assessing the technology risks that are introduced to businesses.

Financial Services Risk - helps clients in the financial sector to identify, manage and monitor the risks in their business. It is done through a transformative and agile approach including process and procedures, risk, data modeling and analytics, reporting to stakeholders and third parties, business requirements (for software selection and IT implementation), analysis of assets and liabilities, and capital and liquidity management.

1.Portfolio strategy and oversight

  • Support the ongoing construction and optimization of globally diversified private markets portfolios tailored to the liquidity and return profile of each fund. This should include both allocations to new investments and active portfolio sales process as appropriate.
  • Develop and refine strategic asset allocation frameworks that balance both short-term and long-term performance targets against liquidity constraints and investor objectives. Create strategic recommendations for the target allocation to each investment type. Create recommendations for investment pacing targets.
  • Monitor portfolio exposures (by geography, strategy, vintage, sector) and proactively manage risk concentrations.
  • Investment decision-making
  • Collaborate with underlying investment teams to evaluate primary, secondary, and co-investment opportunities within the context of each Pantheon fund structure. Support each fund’s Investment Team lead in making the required deal triage and selection recommendations.
  • Liquidity and Balance Sheet management
  • Maintain robust short- and long-term cash flow and performance forecasts using detailed fund and investment modelling, working in conjunction with fund raising colleagues to maintain the latest investor cash flow expectations for deployment planning purposes.

2. Performance monitoring and reporting

  • Produce high-quality investment committee and Board materials covering portfolio construction, performance attribution, risk metrics, and macro commentary.
  • Act as the Investment team point of contact for each Pantheon fund covering the valuation oversight process, interfacing with internal valuation committees and administrators as needed.
  • Support the creation of investor-facing materials, working in conjunction with Investor Relations.
  • Client support
  • Support investor relations teams in client and prospect query responses on behalf of the Investment Team. Perform analysis as required to create high quality responses
  • Curate content for portfolio review materials for client meetings
  • Local support for wider Private Markets Core PM team
  • Act as the primary local support for the Global Private Market Investment teams, supporting in resolving a wide range of issues as appropriate. This will require liaison with various internal and external teams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Pantheon policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 5+  years’ experience in Private Equity OR Private Credit OR Infrastructure, preferably with some exposure to secondaries investing. CFA qualification would have an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio construction and management of complex private asset portfolios
  • Strong familiarity with liquidity modelling, NAV forecasting, and performance attribution in a long-term illiquid investment context.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Exceptional financial modelling and analytical skills, including proficiency with cash flow forecasting tools and Excel-based scenario modelling.
  • High degree of investment judgment and risk management orientation.
  • Clear and confident communicator, capable of engaging senior stakeholders, including Boards
  • Strong presentation and writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of private fund terms, reporting standards, and performance metrics (e.g., IRR, TVPI, DPI).
