Group Finance Reporting Manager
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely journal entry processing, including standard, recurring, and manual journal entries aligned with internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Manage accrual and prepayment accounting, ensuring period-end adjustments are made accurately and reviewed for completeness.
- Oversee Chart of Accounts (COA) maintenance, ensuring alignment with Group structures, reporting hierarchies, and system consistency.
- Perform thorough balance sheet substantiation, including account reconciliations and ageing analysis, ensuring completeness and accuracy of balances.
- Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes in collaboration with regional and Group finance teams, ensuring timely closure and accurate reporting.
- Perform intercompany reconciliation and settlement processes, ensuring elimination of mismatches and accurate recording of intercompany balances.
- Coordinate intercompany eliminations and ensure accuracy in group consolidation reporting in compliance with IFRS standards.
- Support foreign currency translation and revaluation processes, ensuring accuracy in multi-currency reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assist in Group consolidation and adjustment processes, including preparation of consolidation journals, minority interest calculations, and elimination entries.
- Manage asset capitalization and tagging, ensuring timely capitalization of assets in accordance with Group policies.
- Administer depreciation and amortization schedules, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
- Support asset disposal and impairment reviews, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensure revenue recognition compliance, working with business units to validate timing, measurement, and classification of revenue in line with IFRS 15.
- Track and report contingent income elements such as performance-related commissions or bonuses, ensuring proper documentation and recognition.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and related disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group and statutory requirements.

- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial accounting standards.
- Experience in general ledger accounting, consolidation, and financial close processes.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Workday Financials, SUN GL, Power BI) and financial reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with reconciliations, reporting controls, and financial statement preparation.
- Familiarity with multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
- Sound understanding of fixed asset accounting and revenue recognition principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent accounting qualification is mandatory.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, and consolidation within a global organization or shared services environment.
- Prior experience in the insurance, broking, or financial services sector is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing intercompany processes.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and experience in applying accounting principles to complex business transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with global teams, manage remote relationships, and deliver results across time zones
