Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• Executive – Assurance – Financial Accounting Advisory Services- Mumbai Government entities including Urban Local Bodies (“ULBs”) /: Finance and accounting advisory services to government entities are critical for ensuring responsible stewardship of public funds, transparency, and compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. This role supports the management of the government budgets, accounting and financial reporting, finance transformation as well as internal controls over financial reporting. To address this delicate balance of issues, our competent team of business strategists, technologists and industry leaders bring fresh thinking and sector knowledge across diverse sectors including ULBs /Government entities. FAAS addresses the CFO’s agenda and provides CFOs, controllers, treasurers and review committees with insight and services to support compliance with evolving financial requirements and help provide transparency and trust in reporting to support better decision-making. We also help to support finance functions with robust financial data analytics and innovation through our tools. Our services cover a wide range of accounting and reporting, transaction accounting, treasury, and corporate governance services that can make your clients' business meet changing market conditions, demands for greater transparency and changing regulatory requirements. We do this by providing innovative support to inspire confidence while addressing reporting challenges that stem from the changing economic and regulatory environment. Your key responsibilities Technical excellence
• Manage / execute FAAS projects, develop and implement solutions
• Identify and develop business opportunities; manage accounts
• Ability to explain complex accounting and financial reporting issues simply
• Advisory mindset, ability to develop solutions for the client with support from technical subject matter experts
• Specific financial reporting experience in at least one of the following: ? Audit/Accounting and reporting of ULBs/ Government entities ? Transactions (acquisitions, carve outs, demergers, restructuring) ? Preparation for IPO including listing rules in India ? Active role as accountant in implementation of ERP/consolidation IT system ? Finance transformation including digital solutions in finance and reporting ? Developing and delivering technical training ? Specific financial reporting topics: revenue recognition; financial instruments; off-balance sheet financing; fixed assets;
• Regular travel will be required as you will be meeting with key clients To qualify for the role you must have
• A qualified CA (or equivalent e.g. CPA/ICAEW/ACCA)
• Good academic record (1st/2nd time passes for ICAI or equivalent)
• Strong IGAAP and/or IFRS/Ind AS financial reporting experience in complex/large entities (preferably ULBs/Government entities), most likely in audit/ advisory/ transaction vertical or Government sector environment
