Summary of Position:
The Premium Account Handler is responsible for providing an efficient and effective Technical Processing service to the business whilst adhering to Regulatory, Risk and Compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Deputise for line / Team manager as and when required.
- Adhere to company and regulatory policies, procedures together with mandatory training requirements.
- Assess incoming processing requests for completeness and take the appropriate actions.
- Complete complex Premium processing requests on Sequel Eclipse Broking accurately and within the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) agreed with the business.
- Complete IMR Submissions accurately and within the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) agreed with the business.
- Produce accurate and complete client, market and bureau documentation.
- Process LORS entries.
- Maintain the status of processing requests within the workflow tool.
- Maintain relevant logs within the workflow.
- Liaise with Velonetic, clients, underwriters, business units and Insurance Business Accounts (IBA) to resolve queries.
- File relevant documentation electronically as per the agreed structures and standards.
- Process Written Bordereaux and obtain agreement where required.
- Become a Sequel Eclipse Broking Super User and support users.
- Assist manager in business partnering with the business units serviced, ensuring all risks and issues are documented.
- Creates training plans and conducts training to Junior Handlers and trainees.
- Assist and guide team members with technical processing issues. Be the focal point of contact within the team for any technical issues.
- Alert manager of deficiencies and suggest improvements in the team’s processes, procedures and controls.
- Be part of technical forums and contribute towards continuous improvement of end-to-end process
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as and when required.

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification
- Graduate / Bachelors in Commerce / Bachelors in Management Studies / Equivalent
Experience
-
- A minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role undertaking (Re)insurance Contract Load and Premium processing.
- An understanding of (Re)insurance.
- Knowledge of Sequel Eclipse Broking is advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and advanced working knowledge of Excel (e.g. Pivot tables and complex formulas).
Functional & Behavioural Competencies required:
- Good communication and organisation skills.
- Good technical and industry knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and meet processing SLA’s / project deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships within and across the Group.
