The opportunity
Our global team of tax, operations and technology professionals provide services to financial institutions to meet their customer related regulatory obligations to tax authorities across global tax regimes.
The primary role of a Tax Senior in CTORS is to support EY’s clients in reviewing, analysing and updating client tax compliance information in client’s system of records, review any changes from time to time, provide necessary support to related teams like tax reporting, with-holding, client onboarding, KYC, etc.
Tax Seniors are required to ensure highest quality of tax deliverables, supervise, develop and mentor staff. They are also required to help managers strengthen relationships with the client.
Your key responsibilities
- Good grasp of baseline U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) regulation
- Knowledge of tax technical issues and processes relevant to U.S. individual and non-
- individual entities; familiarity with IRS forms W-8 and W-9 requirements
- Consistently provide high quality work with integrity and be vigilant to audit standards and requirements
- Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns
- Act as a counsellor for Analysts and Advanced Analysts (where applicable)
- Develop and supervise staff on all technical, client service and engagement management skills, including providing input in performance discussions
- Conduct research on technical topics and draft related communication for the client, conduct in-house SME sessions
- Assist the Manager in engagement management
- Communicate directly with the engagement teams in other offices
- Proactively recognize issues and recommend solutions
- Demonstrate professionalism and poise in demeanour, attitude, communication, behaviour and interaction with others
- Provide support in business expansion, working on multiple client engagements and extending SME knowledge

To qualify for the role you must have
7-10 years of relevant industry experience with a blend of SME and People Manager role with hands on experience of Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) relevant for U.S. individual and non-individual entities, W-8 and W-9 requirements.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Communicate effectively, being able to adapt communications to target audiences and interacting effectively in person, by phone and in writing
- Good analytical, numeric and people management skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications like word, excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to make, present and drive project plans, business cases, etc.
