The Opportunity
We are seeking professionals to join our team as part of our Strategy and Transaction (SaT) offerings. As part of a global team you will support teams in advising clients on various matters including transaction support, buy-side and sell-side due diligence, and corporate finance advice, amongst others.
Your key responsibilities
- At EY, working in a team means coordinating with other team members to deliver a seamless, integrated approach. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support on the execution of various corporate finance projects, including supporting on mergers and acquisitions
- Develop technical excellence in financial analytical skills, and preparation of reports for both local and foreign clients seeking to acquire target businesses and/or assets
- Analysing business performance and forecast assumptions
- Writing reports that set out our findings and recommendations
- Supporting with client proposals and business pursuits
Skills / Attributes for success
- Previous experience in an advisory or audit role
- Analytical, report writing, organizational, interpersonal and teaming skills
- Good understanding of company, industry, economic research, financial statements and valuations
- Good understanding of corporate transactions and funding mechanisms
- Strong drive to take new work initiatives and ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
- Excellent problem solving and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What you need to be in possession of:
- Qualification in business or finance studies. Economics, banking and finance qualifications will be considered
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working with a public audit and accounting firm and/or advisory experience
- Be highly numerate with strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights
- Strong reporting skills and ability to clearly convey complex concepts (e.g. accounting, financial, economics)
- Be a team player with the ability to build relationships at all levels
