The Opportunity
We are seeking a consultant with experience in digital transformation projects within the banking sector to join our team of talented Business Transformation professionals. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth, learning, and career development within our organisation.

Leveraging EY’s proven methodologies and multi-disciplinary expertise, as a Digital & Business Transformation Consultant at EY, you will play an active role in supporting banking clients to deliver complex digital transformation initiatives that drive sustainable, long-term success by enhancing operational efficiency, customer experience, and business agility. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to business transformation projects across other sectors, broadening your expertise and impact.
Your Key Responsibilities
At EY, working in a team means coordinating with other team members to deliver a seamless, integrated approach. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Digital Transformation Strategy and Execution
- Support the development of enterprise-wide digital transformation strategies, primarily within the banking sector.
- Conduct detailed analysis, develop insights, and contribute to actionable recommendations that leverage digital technologies.
- Manage full lifecycle implementation of digital projects / programs for clients, primarily in the banking sector and provide support in ensuring proper project and data governance.
- Develop project materials, track progress against milestones, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Identify risks and issues, escalating as appropriate, and support change management activities to facilitate adoption of digital solutions.
- Business and Operating Model Design
- Contribute to designing and enhancing business and operating models across banking functions to drive efficiency and enhanced user experience.
- Drive the creation of future-state digital processes and ways of working that enhance operational performance and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in translating requirements into practical digital initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders to validate and refine digital transformation solutions.
Across engagements, you will be expected to:
- Contribute insights and innovative ideas to the drafting of high-quality project work products.
- Demonstrate technical and professional knowledge relevant to digital and business transformation.
- Display teamwork and integrity in client and internal interactions.
- Contribute to market and business development activities, including proposals and thought leadership.
- Leverage technology and digital tools to continuously learn, innovate, share knowledge with team members, and enhance the delivery of services.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- At least 3 years hands-on experience in delivering digital transformation projects/programs involving business and/or technology change, particularly within the banking sector.
- Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders through various channels including interviews, workshops, and sector best practices and experience.
- Ability to bridge business with technology, translating digital capabilities into business value.
- Ability to develop transformation roadmaps and governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving project objectives and driving positive outcomes.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in data management, particularly within the banking sector, is considered a significant asset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Business Administration, Management, Business and Computing, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) would be considered an asset.
- Management consulting experience, particularly within the banking sector with respect to IT systems and operations, ERP implementations, digital transformation and business transformation (organisation design, operating models, business process design, etc.) is highly desirable.
