The opportunity


As a Tax Staff, you will be a part of our Business Tax Incentives (BTI) practice within the Quantitative Services group.  If you want to be exposed to exciting investment projects targeting innovation and digitalisation, this role is for you. 


Your key responsibilities

As a Tax Staff, you will discuss investment initiatives and innovative projects.   You will be working with a variety of clients at the forefront of technology, from entrepreneurs to public corporations, to evaluate and prepare their incentive claims.


Skills and attributes for success

  • Meet with clients and leverage your broad knowledge of current incentive programs to identify opportunities for financing and accelerating their investment projects.
  • Perform the incentive research and planning steps to identify funding opportunities that advance company’s goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date the criteria for incentive programs and communicate with BTI team any news and changes regarding the requirements.
  • Prepare detailed project descriptions to support your clients’ claims.
  • Prepare all components of grant and funding submissions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in reviews with the Granting organizations.
  • Manage client expectations and strict deadlines.


To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business with a minor in technology, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of business models, innovation processes.
  • Creative thinker - ability to innovate solutions to client problems on the spot. 
  • Excellent communication skills (outgoing personality, written, verbal, and listening). 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong verbal and written skills in French required.
