The opportunity

 

The Talent Development and Learning Team for EY Canada is seeking a personable and proactive individual to help execute our weekly Onboarding Training and coordinate the processes required by our CPA students to become members with their local CPA Body.

 

Your key responsibilities:

 

Onboarding Team Support:

 

  • Assists with the coordination and logistics of the Welcome to EY (WTEY) program which takes place every week
  • Provides pre/post onboarding support to our new joiners and WTEY presenters
  • Assists in the delivery of WTEY, our national onboarding program, to new hires 
  • Acts as an Onboarding Champion to welcome our new joiners
  • Provide onsite support for the Montreal office to support new joiners on their first day by providing laptops, seat assignments and office tours
    General administrative tasks as required

 

CPA Program Team Support:

  • The CPA Student Program Coordinator is responsible for answering inquiries from CPA students regarding practical experience and educational policies and processes which lead to CPA membership. The CPA Student Program Coordinator's work includes discussions with students, performing transactions, data entry, records management and other practical experience and educational processes. 
  • Assist EY’s National CPA team with implementation and communication of major processes including onboarding, registration, practical experience requirements, education requirements, annual dues, and departures;
  • Support and coordination of virtual/on-site training events including, identification of class participants, facility location, timing, session counts, physical/virtual class setup (including production technologies i.e. Teams), and general course planning
  • Participate in presentations and learning sessions with CPA students on their practical experience and education requirements
    Responsible for onboarding CPA students onto CPA Canada’s Practical Experience Reporting Tool (PERT and PERL)
  • Responsible for working with CPA students and their mentors to complete the CPA Student Designation Process, and ensure all necessary forms and documents
  • are completed and returned
  • Answer routine practical experience and education questions from CPA students and assist with problem solving (chat, email and phone), escalating issues as necessary
  • Maintains the appropriate level of CPA practical experience and educational process knowledge, customer satisfaction, and quality metrics. Utilizes all available knowledge sources, procedures and tools;
  • Assists in updating practical experience and education procedures and policy documents on the firm sites (i.e. SharePoint);
  • Participates in regular status update meetings with the National CPA Team; and
  • Helps with special projects as necessary.
  • General administrative tasks as required

What we look for

  • Proficient in Excel (filters, vlookups, pivot tables)
  • Ability to learn new applications and techniques quickly and effectively (i.e. SharePoint, Qualtrics for surveys, Outlook, Zoom, Teams, etc.)
  • This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally where fluency in French and English is required. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Understanding of the CPA program
  • Experience in a Learning and Development
