ASSOCIATE LAWYER - FINANCIAL SERVICES

The opportunity

We are now looking for a Senior Consultant (2-4 yrs experience PQE) to join our FSO Law team in Milan.

The professional we are looking for has accrued experience in the fields of structured finance, securitization and legal and regulatory advisory services to regulated entities in relation to their legal and regulatory duties towards the Surveillance Authorities, their customers and counterparties, both through his/her academic path and by working in primary business law firms. The ideal candidate shall possess a good knowledge of all the primary and secondary legislation applicable to banks, financial intermediaries, asset management company and investment vehicles according to the AIFMD and UCITS Directives, insurance companies and intermediaries, securitization vehicles. The candidate shall be fluent in English and ready to join a modern and smart environment where building his professional path in an international driven environment.

Key responsibilities

- Provide a wide range of legal and regulatory advice for many of the domestic and international largest regulated entities and vehicles. Identify and address complex domestic and international regulatory issues and assist both with respect to advisory and transactional mandates.

- assist clients in the context of business transactions/securitization related to the disposal of receivables of different asset class.
- Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
- Help to develop and guide staff and other junior professionals by providing effective performance feedback and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals. 

- Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations.
- Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products.
- Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery

To qualify for the role you must have

• Almost 2- 4 years of relevant working experience PQE
• University degree in Law/International Law and/or Master in Banking/Financial Law
• Ability to build strong client relationships
• Excellent communication skills in a range of situations both written and oral
