The opportunity
We are looking for Managers with expertise in Payroll to join the People Consulting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a leading global professional services organisation whilst being instrumental in the growth of the People Consulting team.

Your Key Responsibilities:
•    Grow the GDS payroll consulting practice through strong collaboration and relationship building with EY global offices. 
•    Implement and execute internal processes to ensure achievement of metrics on productivity, utilization, head count growth and penetration
•    Ensure quality of delivery and all aspects of operational management. Manage engagement risk, project economics, manage escalations and ensure effective planning and budgeting
•    Develop thought leadership, collateral, tools, techniques, methodologies to build and enhance payroll offering within the practice
•    Provide expertise and direction to the team on client engagements involving Payroll service areas (Payroll Inputs, Gross to Net processing, Payroll remittances, Garnishments, Workforce management, etc.).
•    Design of payroll delivery options (consolidation of multiple payrolls, vendor advisory, shared service centre development, use of technology to generate efficiencies), and payroll transition management
•    Perform role of counsellor and coach, define and set goals, conduct performance reviews and ensure ongoing learning and development of the team 
•    Implement strong people practices and policies; provide counselling support to individuals in the team for their learning and development, performance management and career growth
•    Drive effective client communication, cadence and build relations with client and project counterparts across global locations. Ensure to obtain excellent feedback from the client and global project counterparts

To qualify for the role, you must have
•    12 - 16 years of experience in Payroll operations and consulting domain 
•    Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in global payroll advisory
•    Master’s degree in Finance/HR or full time MBA
•    Work experience in payroll implementation and transformation programs and working as part of a global distributed team 
•    Strong understanding of 1 or more payroll technology systems – ADP, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc. 
•    Experience in managing large teams as well as multiple engagements simultaneously
•    Providing advice and guidance on client projects in subject matter areas

Ideally, you’ll also have
•    Technical proficiencies in payroll; take a practical/business driven approach to solving complex global payroll client challenges
•    Led payroll project work streams from planning through to implementation – managing project resources and budgets effectively
•    Exposure to Workforce Management tools such as Kronos and other similar time & attendance tools 
•    Supported other regions in client pursuit activities in the payroll space by developing proposals and presentations
•    Ability to review current processes to identify key metrics to evaluate operational performance compared to internal performance objectives and Payroll industry leading practices benchmarks
•    Facilitated clients in movement of the payroll delivery to a 3rd party outsource provider - developing a strong governance model to drive the vendor performance and delivery of services
•    Experience of working with the global payroll vendors such as ADP, RAMCO, etc
•    Project management
•    FPC/CPP/PMP and other payroll related certifications will be an added advantage
•    Experience of working with a Big 4 consulting firm
